In Pokemon GO, there are constantly different Pokemon being rotated in and out of 1-Star, 3-Star, 5-Star, and Mega Raids. This allows Trainers to catch a variety of species and tick off spaces in their Pokedex, as well as discover new candidates to further utilize in Pokemon GO battles.

Among the most popular Raid bosses in the game is Mega Rayquaza, the powerful Mega-Evolved form of the Generation 3 Legendary Pokemon. Mega Rayqauaza can be battled through Mega Raids and Elite Raids in Pokemon GO, providing Trainers with the opportunity to capture it once defeated. Best Moveset For Mega Rayquaza in Pokemon GO

m rayquaza in pokemon go-1

In Pokemon GO, Mega Rayquaza is a powerful Pokemon that has a Max CP of 6458, and a stat spread of 377 ATK, 210 DEF, and 227 STA. Mega Rayquaza is a Dragon and Flying Dual-Type Pokemon, meaning it is weak to Pokemon or moves of the Dragon, Rock, and Fairy Types, and 2x weak to Ice Type Pokemon or moves. For this reason, Trainers should attempt to avoid these matchups when possible, to not put their Mega Rayquaza at a disadvantage. However, in addition to these weaknesses, Mega Rayquaza has a series of resistance that means it is most favorable in battle against Pokemon of the Fighting, Bug, Fire, Water, Grass, and Ground Types.

To Mega Evolve Rayquaza, you will first need to have a Rayquaza and a Meteorite.
Evolving Rayquaza can be a confusing process
since you will also need to have this Pokemon learn the move Dragon Ascent. As long as you have a Meteorite and have successfully equipped this move, that is all that is required to prepare Rayuaza to be Mega evolve. Please note you will have to have enough Mega energy in order to do this.

When it comes to the best moveset of Dragon Tail and Dragon Ascent, Mega Rayquaza will dish out around 29.30 damage per second, and 1107.0 total damage before fainting in battle, which makes this Legendary a very heavy-hitting fighter. However, depending on the team that you are running, the Type coverage that is needed between your Pokemon, or the enemy Pokemon that you are going up against in battle, this moveset combination may be better tweaked with one of Mega Rayquaza’s other options. Several suitable Fast Move and Charged Move combinations have been identified below, as well as the expected damage output for each pair.

Mega Rayqauaza can also boost its power in Windy Weather, so players can look to utilize this opportunity when possible to turn battles in their favor with a boost in damage output.
