Pokemon GO has a new code for players to redeem that gives away some items and resources for free to celebrate the Global GO Fest 2026. Pokemon GO is having a massive month of July this year due to the game’s 10th anniversary, lots of events, and even some new and exclusive Pokemon that were not previously available. After a Global GO Fest celebration on July 10 that backfired due to the exclusive Mewtwo available for participants, who were invite-only, the game is making it up to fans with plenty of new freebies today and tomorrow, July 12.
Pokemon GO‘s Global GO Fest 2026 gives Mega Mewtwo X and Y away for free, and players can get the iconic Legendary Pokemon in Super Mega Raids. Then, the critter can be evolved with Mega Energy obtained via the Raids themselves or by completing the Genetic Mastery Timed Research, which is free for all until 7 pm local time on July 12, and features a branching path for either Mega Mewtwo X or Mega Mewtwo Y. That’s not all, though, and there are more freebies for players to get.
Pokemon GO is Giving Away More Mewtwo Freebies
A new promo code allows players to get 100 Link Charges and 15 Poke Ball in Pokemon GO, completely for free. To get the rewards, players must ensure that they have enough space and that their Link Charges are not maxed out. In that case, the game will state, “This Gift Card code or promotional code is invalid, or you do not qualify for the promotion.” As it stands, there seems to be no restriction on who qualifies for the code, but having full Link Charges will result in the message being displayed. Also, this is the first Go Fest promo code, and tomorrow there will be another.

Fans should ensure that they grab the A Thunderous Discovery Special Research quest before the end of the event on July 12 at 7 pm local time, as the quest has no expiration date and can be completed at any time to get a free Zeraora. As for the code, it’s unclear whether it has an expiration date and when that would fall, but in the meantime, players can redeem it for free. There should be another code following tomorrow with the same rewards, 100 Link Charges and 15 Poke Ball, for players to use during (and presumably after) Pokemon GO‘s Global Go Fest 2026.
Beyond the Global Go Fest, there are many other events taking place this month. Pokemon GO‘s 10th anniversary added a super rare Gimmighoul with a 10 on the coin it carries on its back, and it can only be acquired until the end of July. Similarly, there will be a Legendary Pokemon event this month, and one dedicated to Professor Willow that features a unique Pikachu dressed like the character.

The Assistant Pikachu event in Pokemon GO will take place on July 21, and much like this Mewtwo event, there will be a very short window of time for players to get the special Pokemon.
