The second portion of this update is centered on battles, with GO Battle Weekend taking place between Saturday, May 4, and Sunday, May 5. During this part of Pokemon GO‘s new update, players can receive 4x Stardust from win rewards, as well as free, battle-themed Timed Research rewards. The maximum number of sets gamers can play per day will increase from five to 20, for a total of 100 battles. This also includes paid Timed Research in Pokemon GO. For every $1 players spend, they will be given access to event-exclusive Timed Research opportunities.
