Pokemon GO is getting a special in-game event to celebrate the launch of Pokemon Pokopia, with a pair of new costumed Dittos for players to catch. The massively popular monster-catching game has introduced a plethora of new creatures throughout recent months. February saw the addition of Flamigo to the game during Pokemon GO‘s Carnival of Flamigo event. Scopely has already confirmed the Blipbug evolution line will be added during March’s Bug Out event, alongside several other Bug Pokemon receiving boosted rates.
Beyond its large roster of unique Pokemon, several of the most popular creatures in Pokemon GO have often been given their own special variants. Pokemon like Pikachu, Eevee, and Chansey have received unique versions wearing different types of hats, from festive party hats and Santa hats to many getting flower crown versions. Some holiday events have even welcomed more outlandish variants, including 2025’s holiday event, which added Sudowoodo with Christmas lights and Charjabug wrapped up with a bow. Now, the upcoming launch of Pokemon Pokopia is getting a special event in Pokemon GO centered around its main Pokemon.
