Pokemon GO players can redeem a free code that gives them access to a special set of timed research leading to a unique Charmander encounter, but it’s only available for a limited time. Interested trainers have less than a week to redeem the special code, unlocking a unique costumed Charmander encounter in Pokemon GO.
September has already been a busy month for Pokemon GO trainers. Following the launch of Twilight Trails in Pokemon GO earlier this month, there have been plenty of limited-time events to take advantage of, including a return of Armored MewTwo, the Mega Squads activity, and much more on the horizon. Alongside the mobile game, the Pokemon Horizons series is back with its final batch of episodes for Season 3. In celebration of the anime’s return, Pokemon GO has a special offer for players, but they’ll need to act fast to claim the reward.
Pokemon GO Timed Research Redemption Code
To celebrate the return of Pokemon Horizons: The Series for Season 3: Part 4, Pokemon GO has been featuring unique Charmander and Pikachu encounters based on a couple of characters from the Horizons anime. Specifically, Charmander and its evolutions can be seen wearing Professor Friede’s goggles, while his partner, Captain Pikachu, has also been seen in game recently. Fans of the show will know that Captain Pikachu is a bit different from Ash’s version, being a co-pilot of the Brave Olivine, co-founder of the Rising Volt Tacklers, and having an allergy to being called cute.
For those who may not have had a chance to catch a Friede-costumed Charmander, Pokemon GO is offering players a code to unlock special timed research completely for free. All players need to do is head over to the offer redemption page on the Pokemon GO webstore and enter 0004POKEMONGO. FInishing the timed research will ultimately lead to an encounter with Charmander wearing Friede’s goggles, which can then be evolved into Charmeleon and then Charmander. Keep in mind, that similar to past free Pokemon GO offer codes, this one won’t be around forever and needs to be redeemed before September 22 at 8PM local time.
