Numerous requests have been adjusted in order for players to better understand what they need to do in order to proceed. For example, improvements have been made to both “Rock Smash your way to treasure!” and “To Snorlax!” requests. Both of these requests had confused players, as putting blocks over the cracked blocks near Hitmonchan and Snorlax, respectively, would make it harder to understand how to progress. Though the patch notes didn’t specify what changes were made here, newcomers and those who haven’t yet reached these requests should be able to navigate through them more easily.

Further, a number of bugs have been fixed. The fixes include a change to “Help make a home!” in Withered Wasteland, where there was a chance for Squirtle to move to the top of a tree and then could no longer be spoken to. Another such instance was in “Find the Pokemon Center!” where depending on the sequence of actions, Professor Tangrowth might not make a bridge repair request. Similar fixes have been implemented to meeting Rotom in Rocky Ridges. Fixes and adjustments have been made to make it easier to progress through the “Find the Pokemon Center!” request and “Clear off the path!” in Rocky Ridges. Spinarak also had the wrong typing in the Pokedex, which has now been fixed. This is already the second update that the game has received, and makes good on a promise that the developers shared previously. Earlier in March, Pokemon Pokopia promised that numerous bugs and issues would be amended, which have now been addressed.

With some luck, this update should smooth out any of the rough spots in the game and make it easier for players to continue progressing through the title. While the game has been extremely popular, there are nonetheless some minor things that players may have found to be stumbling blocks, or simply unclear. For example, some Pokemon Pokopia players were carefully watering every single plant in the game, only to discover that when it rains, the plants become automatically watered.

Pokemon Pokopia has plenty to keep players busy, with around 300 different kinds of Pokemon to discover and lots of content. However, it’s also likely that the game will eventually receive DLC. While some gamers have been hoping for Johto in Pokemon Pokopia, others think that they’ve discovered hints that players may eventually gain access to the Sevii Islands. A note that can be found in the game hints at the islands as being a particularly good place to visit for rare Pokemon encounters. So far, no official announcements have been made, but given the popularity the game has experienced so far and the boon it’s provided to Nintendo, chances are players just need to wait.

Pokemon Pokopia Ver. 1.0.2 Patch Notes

We have implemented improvements to address the following issues:

  • During the request “Rock Smash your way to treasure!” in Withered Wasteland, if the player places other blocks over the cracked blocks near Hitmonchan, it becomes difficult to understand how to progress the request.
  • During the request “To Snorlax!” in Bleak Beach, if the player places other blocks over the cracked blocks near Snorlax, it becomes difficult to understand how to progress the request.

Additionally, the following issues have been fixed.

If these issues have already occurred in your game, applying this update will resolve them.

  • During the request “Help make a home!” in Withered Wasteland, Squirtle may move on top of a tree and become impossible to talk to, preventing progress.
  • During the request “Find the Pokémon Center!” in Bleak Beach, if the cracked blocks on the bridge are broken before Professor Tangrowth crosses the bridge, it will become difficult to make progress on the request.
  • During the request “Find the Pokémon Center!” in Bleak Beach, a specific sequence of actions may prevent Professor Tangrowth’s bridge repair request from triggering, preventing progress.
  • In Rocky Ridges, a specific sequence of actions may prevent the event in which the player meets Rotom from occurring.
  • During the request “Clear off the path!” in Rocky Ridges, if the request is triggered under certain conditions, it will become difficult to make progress on the request.
  • Spinarak’s type is listed incorrectly in the Pokédex.
