A Pokemon Pokopia fan baked a batch of cookies inspired by Ditto and other characters in the game. As the main protagonist of Pokemon Pokopia, Ditto’s adorable transformations and wholesome interactions with other Pokemon have captured the hearts of players, inspiring them to create fan art.
Released in early March, Pokemon Pokopia has already sold millions of copies worldwide, becoming one of the Switch 2’s best-selling games to date. Often compared to Animal Crossing, Pokopia combines the excitement of Pokemon collecting with resource management and building mechanics that are often found in cozy simulation games. It also allows players to be creative with how they decorate their islands and homes, while also ensuring that the Pokemon are well-taken care of and have the perfect habitat.

Pokemon Pokopia Fan Makes Ditto Transformation Cookies
One of the highlights of Pokemon Pokopia is Ditto’s many transformations, which allow it to explore the world as a human trainer and use different Pokemon abilities in order to tend to the island. So, it’s no surprise that fans would recreate Ditto art in various mediums. One Reddit user named SoftwareForward4788 baked Pokopia-inspired cookies based on their favorite characters, including their in-game avatar, Ditto Dragonite, Ditto Lapras, and a Drifloon carrying Ditto in the air, among many others. In the post, the fan wrote that they were happy with how the cookies and edible printed designs turned out and wanted to share their baked creations with the Pokopia community.

Many fellow Pokemon Pokopia fans in the comments praised the details on SoftwareForward4788’s cookies. A number of people were also impressed by the fan’s skill after seeing their other baked creations. In the past, other Pokemon fans have baked unique pastries based on various characters, like a scary Mr. Mime cake for Halloween and an impressive Slowpoke cake for Valentine’s Day.
The Future of Pokemon Pokopia
Following a successful release, many fans are already speculating on a possible Pokemon Pokopia DLC that would give them more content to work with. One hint to a DLC is an in-game letter that emphasizes Sevii Islands, which is an archipelago that first appeared in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen and is said to be a potential hot spot to find rare Pokemon. It’s been over two decades since Sevii Islands made an appearance in a Pokemon game, so the location might be due to show up soon. Pokopia has yet to confirm if and when it will release a DLC, but it would be a wasted opportunity not to add more new Pokemon and locations to explore, especially since the game is about bringing the islands back to life. Pokemon already has over a thousand monsters and counting, so Pokopia could still make use of them in future updates.
With Pokemon celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the franchise has prepared several new releases and collaborations for the community to enjoy. For the promotion of Pokemon Pokopia alone, The Pokemon Company took over Japan’s purple Hanzomon subway line to create a Ditto-inspired train that passengers could ride for a limited time. Gamers have also been investing their time in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, which were digitally released on the Switch in late February. Pokemon also recently launched a line of wedding and engagement rings in collaboration with Japanese jewelry brand U-Treasure, as well as a new line of Uniqlo UT shirts. It’s going to be an exciting year ahead for Pokemon fans, especially as they head into 2027 with the launch of Pokemon Winds and Waves.
