Pokemon TCG Live is giving fans eight free decks to try out for the upcoming Perfect Order season, including fan-favorite cards like Mega Charizard X ex and Mega Lucario ex. The massively popular TCG branch of the beloved monster-catching franchise officially launched its newest era in late 2025, bringing back one of the game’s most popular mechanics. Mega Evolution welcomed the return of Mega Pokemon to the Pokemon TCG for the first time since the XY Evolutions expansion, with three sets already available in its new series. Now, Pokemon is gearing up for the release of its new era’s fourth expansion.

The Pokemon TCG has given fans plenty of reasons to be excited about the upcoming release of its Perfect Order set. The expansion will mark the TCG debut of Mega Zygarde, headlining the pack after making its first appearance in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The Pokemon Company has already shown off plenty of cards appearing within the new set, including a powerful new Meowth ex card and multiple Supporters based on characters from Legends: Z-A, like Naveen and Jacinthe. Fans playing the game on Pokemon TCG Live are now receiving a special gift for the set’s launch.

Pokemon TCG Live Adds New Perfect Order Starter Decks

Pokemon TCG Live is adding eight new starter decks to the online game to coincide with the release of Perfect Order. The starter decks will heavily focus on some of the spotlight Mega Pokemon from recent sets, including a deck based around Mega Evolution’s Mega Lucario ex and Phantasmal Flames’ Mega Charizard X ex. Other popular Mega Pokemon will also receive their own fully-built decks, including decks for Mega Manectric ex, Mega Sharpedo ex, and Mega Venusaur ex. Pokemon TCG Live is even giving out some popular non-Mega Pokemon decks, offering Dragapult ex, N’s Zoroark ex, and Steven’s Metagross ex decks.

The new starter decks feature some of the most powerful strategies in the current Pokemon TCG format. Dragapult ex has dominated the Pokemon TCG since the card’s release in Twilight Masquerade, paired with the Duskull line from Shrouded Fable to disrupt the opponent’s bench. Mega Venusaur ex has been a fan-favorite for many players, with its Energy-moving ability often being paired with the already-powerful Teal Mask Ogerpon ex to quickly ramp up into big Attacks. The N’s Zoroark strategy also received a big boost in Perfect Order, with the Anthea and Concordia Supporter card able to instantly end games, though the card is not included in the starter deck.
