A fresh look at the second DLC for Pokemon Pokopia confirmed that four new Pokemon will appear once the expansion arrives in late 2026. The news came weeks after Pokemon Pokopia released its first of three planned expansions, the Bubbly Basin, as part of the game’s Expansion Pass.
Earlier this summer, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company revealed that Pokemon Pokopia sold over five million units worldwide since its March 5 launch on the Switch 2. The figure includes physical and digital sales of the popular spin-off title, making Pokemon Pokopia one of the top first-party Switch 2 games released so far, alongside Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza.
Four New Pokemon Confirmed For Second Pokopia DLC

During the September 9 Nintendo Direct, Pokemon Pokopia shared a preview of what players can expect in the game’s upcoming second DLC expansion following the Bubbly Basin. The short trailer confirmed that Doduo, Snubbull, Skitty, and Braixen will appear in the next Pokemon Pokopia expansion. Given that each of the aforementioned Pokemon either evolves from or into other creatures, there is the possibility that Delcatty, Fennekin, Delphox, Dodrio, and Granbull will also show up in the expansion. Rather than include a new town for players to explore and rebuild, Pokemon Pokopia‘s second DLC will focus on accessorizing Pokemon with items such as ribbons, sunglasses, and more. However, the exact title and release date of Pokopia‘s next DLC still remain elusive as of this writing, so fans must wait for more information.
In August 2026, Pokemon Pokopia released the Bubbly Basin expansion, which took players underwater to a city buried beneath the waves. True to the expansion’s name, 50 Water-type Pokemon made their Pokopia debut in the Bubbly Basin, including Buizel, Totodile, and Staryu. By comparison, Pokemon Pokopia‘s accessory-themed expansion will likely focus on Fairy-type creatures and other Pokemon widely considered by fans as cute or adorable. Alongside the aforementioned new Pokemon, critters such as Squirtle, Sylveon, and Clefairy were shown off as examples of the kinds of Pokemon that players could meet in the expansion.
Pokemon Pokopia‘s second DLC expansion is one of three expansions that are currently planned. Despite what has been revealed so far, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have kept details about Pokemon Pokopia‘s third DLC mostly under wraps. The only thing known about the third Pokopia expansion is that it will include a new town for players to rebuild, though it is unclear what kind of environment it will be set in. Additionally, it will release sometime in 2027. Access to all of Pokemon Pokopia‘s DLC content requires players to purchase the game’s Expansion Pass on the Nintendo eShop for $34.99.
Between each expansion release, Pokemon Pokopia players can also complete limited-time events to befriend critters such as Feebas and Milotic. Given that Pokemon Pokopia‘s next DLC will not feature a new town, it remains to be seen how many more creatures will be included in it past the ones shown during the September 9 Nintendo Direct.
