A creative Pokemon Pokopia player online has created an enormous cruiser that looks just like Wailord. While it isn’t completely finished yet, this jaw-dropping Pokopia creation will eventually have fully furnished interiors where all the Pokemon are able to live together.

Pokopia was released in March 2026 to critical acclaim. Fans and critics alike agreed that Pokemon‘s answer to Animal Crossing was a huge success, with Pokopia reviews praising its charm, extensive build options for players, and addictive gameplay loop. Sales for the game have been extremely strong, too, showing that jumping into the life simulator genre was a risk worth taking for The Pokemon Company. In hindsight, it feels like a perfect fit, but developers Game Freak and Omega Force still deserve great credit for taking the leap and making it work.

This Pokopia Cruiser Looks Just Like Wailord

Redditor Strinister has created an enormous cruiser in Pokopia, which looks just like Wailord. While the giant Water-type may not appear in Pokopia‘s Pokedex, it’s officially part of the game thanks to this epic build. Players in the thread were genuinely staggered by the scale of the build, with one user jokingly saying, “Oh year? Well today I upgrade a leaf den to a leaf hut.” The Wailord cruiser appears to feature multiple levels, which can be seen in the original blueprint for the build, which Strinister shared in the thread.

At the moment, the build isn’t fully finished. Strinister claims the exterior isn’t complete yet, requiring just the final touches. After the exterior is finished, they’ll then move on to the interior, which they haven’t started work on yet. However, the plan is that there will be rooms, halls, and a kitchen in the ship for Pokemon to live in. Hopefully, Strinister will share further updates on the build as it nears completion, as what they have so far is already incredible.

At its core, Pokopia is about allowing player creativity to flourish as they bring their islands to life. In the nearly two months since its release, there have been tons of awesome player builds, showcasing what is possible in the game. There was one Pokopia player who spent 30 hours building Rainbow Road from Mario Kart, a prime example of how players can use the game to pay tribute to their other favorite franchises. Given the game’s massive popularity, there will no doubt be plenty more incredible Pokopia builds in the future.

Although Pokopia is already a big hit, developers Omega Force and Game Freak aren’t resting on their laurels. The game has already received several important bug fix updates, showing a long-term commitment to improving the player experience and making it the best title it can be. Later this month, Pokopia‘s limited-time Sableye event will be available to earn exclusive items for their island. This event-based approach has been standard for Pokemon games in recent years, and it appears that Pokopia is following suit.
