A trusted journalist and industry insider has leaked a potential side mission from the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6, which they claim will feature a “major rapper” that many believe to be Freddie Gibbs. While Grand Theft Auto 6 developer Rockstar Games remains tight-lipped on gaming’s most anticipated title in history, leaks and rumors continue to pour in, with its latest potentially giving fans their first idea of what one of the game’s side missions may consist of.

Undoubtedly, the biggest leak to come from Grand Theft Auto 6 occurred in 2022, before the game had been officially revealed by Rockstar. After a hacker gained access to the studio’s private network, nearly an hour’s worth of early gameplay from the next GTA game made its way online, making history as one of the biggest leaks in gaming history. While many were initially sceptical that what they were seeing was, in fact, Grand Theft Auto 6, Rockstar confirmed the data breach in a statement shortly after. This early footage gave fans their first look at the game’s now confirmed dual protagonists, Jason and Lucia, its return to Vice City, new mechanics, and much more.

Insider Leaks GTA 6 Side Mission

Since then, Rockstar has gone on to release two trailers for Grand Theft Auto 6, as well as tons of incredible screenshots. However, much of the game still remains a mystery, with numerous leaks over the years hinting at various gameplay mechanics, features, and story details. The latest comes from journalist HipHopGamer, who recently told PC Gamer that there will be a “special side mission with a major rapper that left CM Punk bloody by accident.” The journalist is seemingly teasing Freddie Gibbs for Grand Theft Auto 6, who accidentally left the WWE superstar injured during a fight scene for the 2025 movie, Night Patrol.

The insider doesn’t reveal any further details on the mission, such as what players will be required to do in it, but he does go on to state that he has seen Grand Theft Auto 6 and that the world has “never ever seen a game like this.” He also claims that the title will “produce millionaires” thanks to user-generated content. “If you thought GTA 5 was crazy, especially with the RP servers…you ain’t seen nothing yet,” HipHopGamer told the outlet. Although these claims remain unverified, Rockstar did purchase Cfx.re, the team behind FiveM and RedM, back in 2023, which has led to speculation that the studio intends to make such features available in Grand Theft Auto 6.

This is just one of the many leaks and rumors regarding Grand Theft Auto 6, with one of the most recent ones claiming that the game will have an advanced NPC dialogue system. The rumor apparently comes from a source who worked on audio regression and subtitles validation for the title, who claims there are hundreds of thousands of recorded lines just for NPCs alone. The rumor also says that NPCs don’t just repeat random lines as they would in Grand Theft Auto 5, and instead have a much more detailed system where interactions are based on specific conditions.

Hopefully, many of these leaks may soon be either verified or debunked, as Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick recently confirmed that marketing for Grand Theft Auto 6 will begin in the Summer. As it has now been nearly a year since Rockstar released the second trailer for its upcoming title, many fans are eager to see more ahead of the game’s launch on November 19.
