PlayStation Plus members have only a few days left to take advantage of a limited-time 50% discount on the Until Dawn film. Running through November 3, the deal is part of Sony’s recent slate of PS Plus promotions tied to the ongoing Halloween season.
Sony has offered several Halloween-themed benefits to subscribers throughout October 2026, including exclusive in-game packs, discounts, and other limited-time promotions. The latest deal arrives just days ahead of the PS Plus monthly games for November 2026 becoming available, giving subscribers another perk to consider before the service transitions to its next scheduled lineup.
Select PS Plus Members Can Buy the Until Dawn Movie for 50% Off
The discount applies to the purchase of the Until Dawn movie through the Sony Pictures Core app, with PS Plus members receiving 50% off through November 3. The promotion officially went live on October 28, one day after the final three PS Plus Extra and Premium games for October 2026 became available. Unlike some Sony Pictures Core promotions, this Halloween offer applies specifically to buying the film rather than renting it. Sony has not published a universally accessible post-discount price, so the exact amount members pay may vary by country. However, the 50% reduction appears to apply uniformly across all regional prices.
Taking advantage of the deal is as simple as navigating to the official Sony Pictures Core landing page and scrolling down to iots “Exclusive PlayStation Plus Benefits” section. Sony says the offer is available in the United States, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Austria, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Poland, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. Apart from a PS Plus membership, access also requires a PS4 or PS5 console and a Sony Pictures Core account. Sony lists an age requirement of 18 or older for the promotion. The movie itself is rated R in the United States and classified as suitable for ages 15 and up in the UK.
The Until Dawn film adaptation was released theatrically in April 2025, roughly a decade after the original PS4 game debuted. Sony Pictures Core is one of half a dozen platforms where the movie is available digitally in the U.S., though there are plenty more alternatives abroad. The app itself supports both the PS4 and PS5, and normally lets users rent or purchase movies without requiring a PS Plus membership, though it frequently features bonus perks for Sony’s subscribers.
