The PlayStation Plus monthly games for October 2026 are now officially live. The complimentary lineup is available to claim across every PS Plus tier for exactly 27 days.
Sony’s subscription service wrapped up its final Q3 2026 offering in the early morning hours of October 5. That was the last opportunity for PS Plus members to claim four free games available since September 1: Sniper Elite: Resistance, Chained Echoes, Wobbly Life, and MLB The Show 26.
$150 Worth of PS Plus Games Are Up for Grabs Until November 2
October’s complimentary games are F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. PS Plus users across all subscription tiers can add any member of the trio to their accounts at no extra cost until November 2. Based on the full retail prices of the included titles, the batch is valued at $149.97. That is $30 less than last month’s lineup, but $50 more than the PS Plus Essential games for August 2026.

With a 4.68-star rating on the PS Store, Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 is the highest-user-rated title in October’s PS Plus Essential lineup. It is also the only game in the batch available on the PS4, as Hunt: Showdown 1896 and F1 25 are both PS5 exclusives. Sony previously warned owners of its last-generation console that PS Plus would begin phasing out PS4 support in January 2026, although the shift has taken some time to become apparent. Including the newly launched October batch, 21 of the 33 Essential games offered during the first ten months of 2026 were still available on PS4. That works out to nearly two in three titles, but October’s one-in-three share is presumably closer to the level of PS4 representation subscribers can expect in 2027.
PS Plus Subscribers Have Several Other Freebies to Claim Right Now
Sony’s current selection of limited-time offers extends beyond October’s monthly games. Select PS Plus users can claim Spider-Man: Brand New Day avatars at no extra cost through October 20, though the promotion is limited to regions where the Sony Pictures Core VoD app is available. Sony is also marking the season with a series of PS Plus-exclusive HorrorFest promotions throughout October. The lineup began with a Call of Duty: Warzone Horror Bundle on October 1 and has now expanded with free DLC for one of this month’s newly added games, Hunt: Showdown 1896. The next bonus arrives on October 7 with the Draugr Reinhardt (Legendary Skin) + 5 Tier Skips Pack for Overwatch 2.
Looking beyond the Halloween-themed giveaway, the next key date for PS Plus users is October 14. Based on Sony’s well-established announcement cadence, that is when the company is all but certain to formally reveal the month’s full Extra and Premium lineup. Most of the upcoming additions remain unknown, except for Mycopunk, a colorful co-op looter shooter already confirmed to be joining PS Plus on October 20, the same day it leaves early access.
