PS5 Getting Super Tough Co-Op Game on February 24

Infogrames is finally bringing its chaotic co-op platformer, Bread & Fred, to the PlayStation 5 on February 24. Since its release in 2020, the PlayStation 5 has remained one of the most popular consoles on the market, furthering Sony’s standing as the premier gaming console manufacturer. The console continues to exceed sales milestones, surpassing the lifetime figures of the PlayStation 3 with over 90 million units sold as it inches closer to the PlayStation 4’s 117.2 million mark.

Since its launch, the PlayStation 5 has hosted several exciting co-op adventures. Punishing Co-Op Platformer Bread & Fred Coming to PlayStation 5 on February 24

Developed by Sand Castles Studios and published by Atari subsidiary Infogrames, Bread & Fred will release on the PlayStation 5 on February 24 at a low price of $14.99. Previously released for PC in 2023 and Nintendo Switch in 2024, Bread & Fred is a friendship-testing co-op platformer where players control two penguins who aim to reach the summit of a snowy mountain. The game is a true test of teamwork, as players must guide the namesake penguins, Bread and Fred, on a precise climb where if one player falls, the other goes down with them.

PlayStation gamers will not be the only ones to experience Bread & Fred for the first time, as the game will also launch on the Xbox Series X/S on the same date. Alongside the base game, the console release will also include the game’s Laboratory Update, which added a 666-meter map for players to explore. This update includes even more new mechanics and puzzle rooms for gamers to experience, as well as new NPCs and lore that build on the game’s deeper-than-expected story.

Bread & Fred’s long-awaited arrival on PlayStation 5 opens the door for an even larger audience of players and allows it to build on its surprising success. Following its launch on PC in 2023, Bread & Fred became a viral sensation on TikTok, where its chaotic multiplayer nature made it an entertaining sensation.
