PlayStation 5 has already had a busy 2026, but things are heating up even more in March. Every month, new games are released for Sony’s latest home console, ensuring PlayStation 5 gamers always have something new to play. Almost every major multi-platform new game release hits the PS5, and Sony itself supports the console with big budget first-party efforts as well.

Over the past couple of months, PS5 gamers have been able to play free-to-play titles like 2XKO and Highguard, as well as games like the critically-acclaimed Soulslike Nioh 3. And there’s more to look forward to before February is over. Resident Evil Requiem will release for PS5 on February 27, and it’s shaping up to be one of the first truly massive new releases of 2026.

All Big Upcoming PS5 Games For 2026 & Beyond

From JRPGs to platform, racing, and open-world titles, here are all the big new PS5 games releasing in 2026 and later.

Looking ahead, there’s even more for PS5 gamers to check out in the near future, with March looking particularly stacked. Things will get started on March 5 when Sony’s own Marathon releases for PS5, with Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf dropping on the same day. March 12 will then see Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake, Greedfall 2: The Dying World, and Toxic Commando all launch on the same day, with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection and WWE 2K26 releasing March 13. PlayStation-owned MLB The Show 26 will release on March 17, while Crimson Desert and Mouse: P.I. for Hire are coming to the console on March 19. Finally, the ridiculously busy month of March will conclude with Life is Strange: Reunion releasing for PS5 on March 26.

Upcoming PS5 Games for March 2026

  • Marathon – March 5
  • Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf – March 5
  • Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake – March 12
  • GreedFall 2: The Dying World – March 12
  • Toxic Commando – March 12
  • Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection – March 13
  • WWE 2K26 – March 13
  • MLB The Show 26 – March 17
  • Crimson Desert – March 19
  • Mouse: P.I. for Hire – March 19
  • Life is Strange: Reunion – March 26

Marathon is the long-awaited extraction shooter developed by Bungie, the Sony-owned studio best known for Halo and Destiny. Marathon is unique in that it is a PlayStation Studios game that will be multi-plat on day one, with it set to launch for PC and Xbox the same day that it hits PS5. Marathon has had its fair share of controversy, and with Sony’s live-service efforts causing all kinds of uproar, it will be interesting to see how the final product turns out on March 5.

While there will likely be many PS5 gamers excited to try Marathon, Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake, WWE 2K26, and the various other games dropping in March, the headlining new PS5 game releasing next month is definitely Crimson Desert. Crimson Desert is promising to deliver a massive fantasy open world that dwarfs the likes of Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption 2 in terms of sheer size, but whether it equates to a game that is as fun as its open world contemporaries remains to be seen. Crimson Desert has looked impressive so far, but time will tell if it lives up to the hype.

Life is Strange: Reunion is another big PS5 game releasing in March that will likely draw a great deal of attention. Life is Strange: Reunion brings Max Caulfield and Chloe Price together again, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting entries in the franchise since the original game was released all the way back in 2015.

Personally, the PS5 game I am looking forward to the most in March 2026 is Mouse: P.I. for Hire. A first-person shooter game that uses a rubberhose art style ala Cuphead and takes inspiration from classic Mickey Mouse cartoons, Mouse: P.I. for Hire has been on my radar since I first saw it in action a couple of years ago. It looks like something that will be right up my alley and I can’t wait to give it a try for myself on March 19.
