Rayman Legends Retold has no shortage of collectible outfits for its characters, including ones in the deluxe edition for players who want a bit more retro-inspired content, though the outfit for Globox may raise a few eyebrows for those not familiar with the franchise. The wait may have gotten a bit longer for Rayman Legends Retold than many were hoping, but Ubisoft has promised to use that extra time to ensure the game is ready to go at launch.

Originally scheduled to launch in October, Ubisoft announced an unfortunate delay for Rayman Legends Retold, pushing it beyond October and GTA 6‘s launch in November to instead arrive in December. Coming in at a lower price from a standard AAA game, Ubisoft is packing the game with extra content, not only including Rayman Legends Retold, but also the full Enhanced Edition of Rayman Origins. The Retold version of Rayman Legends features overhauled visuals in the Snowdrop engine, newly added levels, dragon-riding sequences, a completely revamped Kung Foot mode, and more. However, if that’s not enough, there’s even a Deluxe Edition available for purchase as well.

Rayman Legends Retold Deluxe Edition Details

For fans that want to get a bit more from the launch of Rayman Legends Retold, Ubisoft has put together a Deluxe Edition for an extra $10. Alongside the base game and the included Enhanced Edition of Rayman Origins, the Deluxe Version comes with an in-game art gallery, including development artwork, sketches, and more behind the scenes images. It also features a Retro Pack, giving the four playable heroes new outfits inspired by the classic games, though fans may notice that Globox’s design is a bit different.

Seemingly taking inspiration from the original Rayman games, the cosmetics included in the Retro Pack give the characters an old-school look and feel, like Rayman, who appears to have been taken directly from the 1995 game. Barbara, a newer character introduced in the original Rayman Legends, is made to look like Betilla The Fairy, while Grand Minimus gets an Electoon Teensie outfit. While it would have likely been easier for Ubisoft to just give Globox a retro style and blocky-looking skin, they instead went in a different direction, with purple pants, a pink button-up shirt, a monocle and long mustache. It’s a surprising look, but one that is instead based off of the original gun totting Hunters from the original Rayman game.

Outside the Deluxe Edition, Ubisoft is offering players a special pre-order bonus in either edition as well. Again, taking inspiration from previous games in the franchise, this time Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, players can unlock 2 new outfits for Globox and Rayman. Rayman gains access to the Metal Mania skin, a reference to the Heavy Metal Fist power, while Globox takes on an appearance based on the Hoodmonger enemy.

Regardless, these are just cosmetics and its well known that Rayman Legends has tons to pick from in the base game alone. In fact, players will have plenty to collect as Rayman Legends is one of the most collectible heavy platformers out there. With new levels being added to Retold, players will likely have plenty to keep themselves busy, especially those that want to unlock the special outfit that is sold for 1 million Lums.
