Thorn is a Long Gun in Remnant 2‘s The Forgotten Kingdom DLC that some players will undoubtedly want to add to their arsenals. While that is not an extremely difficult undertaking, the path that leads to the weapon is not made apparent in-game. Indeed, some fans may be confused about how to get Thorn in Remnant 2, and this guide is here to alleviate that confusion.
Remnant 2: How to Get Thorn
The first step toward obtaining the Thorn Long Gun is visiting, but not collecting, Remnant 2‘s Kuri Kuri Egg. For the uninitiated, that Quest Item is located in a nest near the beginning of the Abandoned Canopy, the first map in the Forgotten Kingdom DLC’s campaign, and the video that is above demonstrates how to reach it.

Players who have already picked up the Kuri Kuri Egg, which can be turned into an Egg Drink, will need to reroll the Forgotten Kingdom campaign if they hope to get their hands on the Thorn. Fortunately for fans who find themselves in that situation, there are other reasons to roll the DLC multiple times. After finding the Kuri Kuri Egg, players should leave it in its position and continue working through the main objectives in The Forgotten Kingdom DLC. More specifically, fans should progress until they reach the Luminous Vale, a map that is accessed just after encountering Lydusa, and they will hear screeching once they pass the World Stone.
This audio cue indicates that Remnant 2‘s Kuri Kuri Bird has appeared at the nest in which the Kuri Kuri Egg was found, and players can use the nearby World Stone to quickly return to the Abandoned Canopy. Fans should then follow the path that was previously used to reach the nest, approach the bird that sits upon it, and collect the Regurgitated Spiny Sac from the ground.
With this material in hand, players should go to Ward 13 and visit Ava, an NPC that will be happy to turn the Regurgitated Spiny Sac into the Thorn Long Gun. Once that process is complete, fans should feel free to try out their new weapon at the nearby firing range, or they can take it directly into one of Remnant 2‘s worlds if they want to see how the Thorn performs in battle.
