A new rumor suggests Resident Evil Veronica may arrive later in 2027 than previously expected, potentially pushing the highly anticipated remake into the fall. Resident Evil Veronica is Capcom’s upcoming remake of the 2000 survival horror game Resident Evil Code: Veronica, bringing Claire and Chris Redfield’s story back with modernized gameplay and a reimagined narrative.
Resident Evil Veronica May Have Slipped to Fall 2027
According to insider AestheticGamer on Twitter, better known as Dusk Golem, there is now a “high chance” that Resident Evil Veronica is targeting a fall 2027 release. The leaker says he has heard the same timing from three different sources, though he cautioned that he has not independently confirmed the information to the degree he normally would. Dusk Golem says they previously heard that Capcom was making late changes to the Resident Evil Veronica remake, and he believes those changes may have taken longer than initially anticipated or grown more ambitious in scope. However, even if the rumor proves accurate, it would not technically constitute an official delay, as Capcom has never publicly narrowed the game’s release window beyond 2027.
