A new rumor suggests that Fortnite players will soon see a new wave of My Hero Academia characters make their way into the game, which will include some of the series’ most popular villains. Fortnite is no stranger to collaborations and partnerships, with Epic Games already bringing several iconic characters from the My Hero Academia anime series into its popular battle royale third-person shooter.


A large chunk of Fortnite‘s massive success can be attributed to Epic Games’ consistent content updates for Fortnite, which include new weapons to use, areas to explore, and items to try out. However, Fortnite also maintains its popularity thanks to constant new collaborations between it and some of the world’s most recognizable brands, ranging from iconic films and television shows to pop culture icons.

New rumors suggest Epic Games is gearing up for yet another My Hero Academia-themed update. According to reputable leaker HYPEX, signs indicate a new wave of My Hero Academia characters will be coming to the Fortnite item shop in the near future. Unlike Fortnite‘s previous collaborations with My Hero Academia, this new wave will focus on villains and is rumored to include Toga and Shigaraki. Characters like Dabi and Twice are also rumored to make an appearance.

According to HYPEX, a new Dark shop background was added to the game recently, indicating a My Hero Academia villain collaboration is on the way. If true, this would mark yet another official collaboration between Epic Games’ Fortnite and My Hero Academia, with the two joining forces for their first collaboration back in 2022. Not only did this limited-time event bring several iconic characters from the popular anime into Fortnite‘s item shop, but it also added new items for players to use in-game. As part of the previous updates, players could purchase characters like Shoto Todoroki, Eijiro Kirishima, All Might, and Mina Ashid as skins in the item shop, either individually or in a bundle.


My Hero Academia proved to be one of the more popular collaborations Fortnite has seen, with previous events bringing wild items like the Deku Smash into the fray. Skins are a major part of Fortnite, with past partnerships including other iconic animes like Naruto, Attack on Titan, and Dragon Ball Super. Fortnite has also collaborated with legendary video game franchises like Halo and Doom to bring characters like Master Chief and the Doom Slayer into the item shop. Fortnite is currently in the middle of Chapter 5: Season 2, an exciting new update that brought a ton of significant changes to the game. This new season of Fortnite focuses on Greek Gods, granting players new powers and skins based on iconic Greek mythology.
