Rumor: Helldivers 2 Leak Shows New Exosuit Mech

A recent Helldivers 2 leak shows a highly durable mech called the EXO-49 Emancipator. Helldivers 2 features different types of stratagems, including exosuits that provide players with assistance in combat. These battle mechs make high-difficulty missions easier thanks to their excellent firepower and durability, allowing the driver to perform rapid shots and clear waves of enemies. Exosuits in Helldivers 2 also wield rocket launchers players can use to take down multiple enemies at once.

Stratagems play a large part in creating loadouts, divided into categories based on their function. For example, exosuits are offensive stratagems due to their firepower, while the Shield Generator Pack is assigned to the defensive category, since it protects players from incoming attacks. Helldivers 2 players must first spend their hard-earned Requisition Slips to unlock them for use while playing.

A recent Helldivers 2 leak from Emptynesz has revealed gameplay footage for the EXO-49 Emancipator Exosuit, which may be added to the game in the future. This battle mech has a cooldown of 600 seconds and can be used twice on a mission. According to the leaker, it feels more tanky than the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit. As seen in the footage, it takes a large amount of ammo to kill Helldivers 2‘s Bile Titans with the EXO-49 Emancipator due to its low damage and armor penetration.

It’s important to note that this footage emerged from a test, which means everything about the EXO-49 Emancipator Exosuit, including its stats and cooldown, is subject to change. There is currently no information about whether Arrowhead will add this battle mech to the game.

Many agree that Exosuits are undeniably one of the most fun stratagems available. However, they can be ineffective against some types of enemies. Last month, when the EXO-45 Patriot mech was added to Helldivers 2, players went on Reddit to voice their disappointment about the newest stratagem, claiming it can’t stand a chance against heavily armored enemies. They reported that the mechs weapons can’t pierce through heavy armor, and it has a lower durability than expected.

Aside from exosuit mechs, offensive stratagems in Helldivers 2 include Orbital Gatling Barrage, Cluster Bomb, and Orbital Precision Strike, which clear waves of Automaton and Terminid enemies in seconds. Some of these ordinances have the ability to destroy enemy structures, allowing players to complete some missions more easily. It’s important to note that offensive stratagems in Helldivers 2 have unlimited usages.
