After making more than a billion bucks at cinemas globally–and leaving a trail of bodies in his wake that’s almost as high as his box-office gross–a John Wick video game was inevitable. While it’s not the first time that John Wick has headlined a video game, the next title starring the almost unstoppable hitman is aiming to be a AAA experience that makes you feel like the infamous Baba Yaga.

Developer Saber Interactive debuted a brief look at the game during the February 2026 PlayStation State of Play livestream, and we’ve rounded up all the details below for what we know so far about the in-development project.

John Wick release date

A release date for John Wick has yet to be revealed, and Saber Interactive added that the game’s current name is a working title.

John Wick platforms

John Wick is currently in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

John Wick story

Set several years before he accomplished the Impossible Task that earned him his freedom, Saber says the game addresses a significant time in John Wick’s life. It will expand on the franchise’s lore and will feature several familiar faces from the films.

John Wick gameplay

According to Saber, the single-player third-person action game will feature an “adrenaline-fueled gun-fu fighting style” for players to master and will draw on signature elements from the John Wick movies. That includes intense driving experiences, unique camera angles, and environments full of makeshift weapons to utilize in combat. Just remember that if you see Wick holding a pencil, run.

Saber says it’s aiming to create an experience that “blurs the line” between movies and video games. “We are creating new, high-stakes, fully interactive mechanics that make players feel like they are in a John Wick movie, by playing the role of the Baba Yaga himself,” the studio said in a blog post. “We are creating rich, neo-noir environments that will also contribute in a major way to creating a thrilling experience. John Wick is about the fine details and iconography present throughout various locations and environments that players can visit during the course of different missions.”

Combat is also being designed to mimic the action seen on the big screen, and Saber says it is developing a “distinct” system from the ground up that will mimic Wick’s talent for violence.

Is Keanu Reeves involved?

Yeah, we’re thinking he’s back. Saber Interactive has confirmed that Reeves will not only voice Wick and provide his likeness, but he’ll also be involved in the game’s production alongside John Wick franchise director Chad Stahelski. This isn’t the first time Reeves has voiced a video game character: He has credits for Cyberpunk 2077 as the outlaw rocker Johnny Silverhand, and he voiced Shadow the Hedgehog in the live-action movie Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
