The newest Forza Horizon 6 update is called Horizon Meets, and it brings a surprising collaboration to the open-world racing game: 7-Eleven. Forza Horizon 6 may be in a specific niche, but it’s been one of the best-reviewed games of the year so far. Now it has been out for several months, Horizon Meets offers one of the biggest updates that the game has seen in its first year.

This collaboration might seem out of place at first, but 7-Eleven stores and car culture actually have a fun history. The convenient store chain has become a global hub for car meet-ups, and Forza Horizon 6‘s newest update pays tribute to one of the more unique sides of the car-loving community. These kinds of meet-ups originated in Tokyo, and since Forza Horizon 6 is set in Japan, it only makes sense for Horizon Meets to be centered around a 7-Eleven car gathering.

Forza Horizon 6’s Horizon Meets Event May Be Temporary, But Specific 7-Eleven Content Is Here to Stay

Before players get too excited, I have to make it clear that the meet-up itself is only a limited-time event. Sure, there is plenty of time and space for more meet-ups to be added down the road, but players hoping that the 7-Eleven gathering would be a permanent fixture might be a little disappointed. There is still good news, though. Beyond the in-game convenient store meet-up, the Horizon Meets update introduces even more Forza Horizon 6 fixes, a new round of cars, and 7-Eleven-inspired gear that will remain part of the game, even after the meet-up comes to an end.

So, even though the 7-Eleven car meet only lasts for a short while, there is at least plenty of new Forza Horizon 6 content to get excited about. The Forza Horizon games are no stranger to wild crossovers. High-profile collaborations with franchises like Halo and the Barbie movie are some of the first few that come to mind, but this 7-Eleven update has the benefit of being both wonderfully weird and actually meaningful, since it’s relevant to car culture.

The Horizon Meets Update Adds Some Fun 7-Eleven Goodies to Forza Horizon 6

Once the hype has died down and the car meet-up has come and gone, players will still be able to have fun with a variety of 7-Eleven-inspired rewards. Fans of the Forza Horizon 6 Estate, EventLab, and Garage features get to play around with a special Prop Pack directly inspired by the iconic convenience store.

Everything in Forza Horizon 6’s 7-Eleven Prop Pack

  • Signs & Flags: 3 7-Eleven flag variants, plus a small and tall 7-Eleven sign
  • Festival: 3 E-Z UP Tent variants, 7-Eleven tent
  • Urban: 7-Eleven storefront and vending machine, Shop Storage with 3 variants
  • Roads & Racing: 7-Eleven barrier
  • Wall & Fences: Metal Railing 3

After the car meet-up is long gone, players can still use the convenient store props in the three aforementioned game modes, which lessens the blow of it being a limited-time event. Players will need to rev up their best Forza Horizon 6 cars and head to the Nangan region in order to get a taste of the meet-up while it’s live; then they can build a fun homage afterward.

Forza Horizon 6’s Horizon Meets Is a Needed Breather From Fable Discourse

Playground Games has had its hands full lately. Not only is the developer responsible for one of the most well-received games of 2026, but the studio also has its long-awaited new Fable game on the way. Playground Games’ decision to take on a franchise reboot of this scale after solely working on racing games is a bold step forward for the developer. As exciting as Fable is, though, the discourse surrounding the game has kind of overshadowed how good Forza Horizon 6 is, so it’s nice to see the racing title back in the spotlight for a moment.

It remains to be seen if Playground Games can move beyond the racing genre once Fable‘s release date arrives in February 2027. Regardless of how the open-world fantasy RPG is received, Forza Horizon 6‘s new update is a solid example of what Playground Games excels at: making fun-filled open worlds worth exploring.
