Polish developer Bloober Team has launched a teaser website pointing to some kind of reveal this month, and while it remains a mystery, the studio has now ruled out a few possibilities for what it could be.

Responding to speculation that the project might be a remake, or more specifically a remake of 2006’s horror game Rule of Rose, Bloober CEO Piotr Babieno said, “Nice guess, but no.”

“It definitely doesn’t refer to any remake,” the executive added in a post on LinkedIn (via TheGamer). It’s also not related in any way to Rule of Rose, and it’s not a new Observer game.

Bloober Team has multiple games in the works, including Project M for Switch 2 and a Silent Hill remake that’s in development with Konami, so this new game is Bloober’s third game. In 2024, the developer said it was done making “shitty” games.

It’s rumored that there will be Nintendo Direct and State of Play events in February, but whether Bloober’s reveal could happen at either of those is unknown. The developer has launched a teaser website for its new project, but it’s a mystery itself and doesn’t give much away. The remosdneulserorehsoovamceyerd.com teaser site is counting down to February 14.

Bloober Team is also known for the Layers of Fear franchise, as well as The Medium and Cronos: The New Dawn. The studio also made 2019’s Blair Witch.
