Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment’s Star Wars Outlaws is one of 2024’s most anticipated games, and it has finally been given a release date of August 30. As the first truly open-world Star Wars game, Star Wars Outlaws is expected to be unlike any other Star Wars title before it, especially considering it takes place in the criminal underworld and doesn’t star a Jedi. Instead, Kay Vess is the protagonist, a scoundrel looking to pull off the biggest heist the Outer Rim has ever seen, which means players will likely be given the chance to experience the world of Star Wars in a way they never have before.
Pre-orders for Star Wars Outlaws have already begun and, despite some controversy surrounding a particular Jabba the Hutt mission only available to Gold and Ultimate Edition owners, pre-ordering any edition of the game comes with benefits — even the Standard Edition. With the Ultimate Edition’s Rogue Infiltrator Bundle, players will receive cosmetics for Kay Vess, Nix, the speeder, and the Trailblazer spaceship. The Sabac Shark Bundle also includes cosmetics for Kay, Nix, the speeder, and the Trailblazer spaceship, but players will receive a cosmetic skin for Kay’s blaster as well.
Star Wars Outlaws Pre-Order Bonus and Season Pass Explained
Both the Gold Edition and Ultimate Edition for Star Wars Outlaws provide players with the Season Pass, but they will need to pre-order the game before August 30 to get the pre-order bonus. Star Wars Outlaws pre-order bonus is actually the “Kessel Runner Bonus Pack” and includes a cosmetic pack for the speeder and a cosmetic for the Trailblazer spaceship. The Season Pass will give players access to two DLCs that will release after launch: the “Jabba’s Gambit” exclusive mission and the “Kessel Runner Character Pack” featuring additional cosmetics for Kay and Nix.
Those who wish to take advantage of everything Massive’s Star Wars adventure has to offer should look no further than Star Wars Outlaws‘ Ultimate Edition. Unfortunately, it comes at the hefty price of $129.99, which may not be everyone’s cup of tea. However, pre-ordering any edition of the game will net players some bonus cosmetics that they wouldn’t be able to get otherwise, so it might be worth it to purchase the game ahead of its launch.
