For some reason, Steam‘s API has been updated with achievements for several upcoming video games, and the result is a massive video game story leak for Persona 6 among many others. Steam also leaked what’s presumably the entire world list for Kingdom Hearts 4, and by nature of the leak and it being Steam, it seems likely most of these leaks are legit.
Persona 6 was recently announced by Atlus and Sega, with it seemingly releasing sometime in 2027 after Persona 4 Revival. Other than that, the number of details made public by Atlus and Sega are limited, but now the leak has revealed several key details about the main character, about the story, and much, much more. This is a massive, likely legit leak, meaning fans have to be safe on the internet now because these spoilers are likely to linger.
WARNING: MASSIVE PERSONA 6 LEAKS AHEAD
New Persona 6 Details
Without going too deep into the spoilers, the Steam achievement list suggests that the main character joins an organization known as Hex after awakening “the monster” within, aka the power of Persona. One small detail that Atlus and Sega confirmed about Persona 6 was its supernatural story, and it seems that is the case. As a member of Hex, it appears players become supernatural investigator of sorts, as the achievements reference arresting certain “perpetrators.” There are more story spoilers mentioned in the achievements, although a good chunk of them are more obscure, but those will be omitted.
Scratch & Peek

Identify the cover art while scratching off as little foil as
possible.
As fans know, the major Persona games are set in a different location, with Persona 5 being Tokyo (essentially real-world Tokyo too) while Persona 3 and Persona 4 are set in the fictional locations of Tatsumi Port Island and Inaba (inspired by real-world locations). Persona 6 is following in the footsteps of Persona 5, with its location being the real-world Yokohama. How exactly that manifest remains to be seen, but the achievements make it clear this is the real location. From there, the achievements confirm what a lot of fans could have already guessed: achievements for Persona romance and social links, creating Persona, gameplay mechanics, and so forth.
There appear to be references to a possible Ultimate Persona as well as a possible Secret Boss, both of which will be omitted here. And while there’s a lot to be gleaned from this information, it’s worth highlighting that none of this is officially from Sega and Atlus. In other words, it’s a small look into the upcoming game and not a true, intended first look at it. And it still sounds good, meaning Persona 6 might actually live up to fan expectations.
It is unfortunate that this information has made its way online this way, but hopefully, those who want to be completely fresh manage to avoid the worst ones, while the more basic details are hopefully officially shown off soon. As it stands, though, Persona 6’s darker and supernatural approach at least makes it stand out.
