In celebration of Diablo 4‘s 30th anniversary, Steam has added it to its typical Free Weekend promotion early, while also confirming yet another freebie. It’s worth noting that it’s uncertain if Diablo 4 is the only Steam Free Weekend-style promotion through September 21 or if more will be added as usual on Thursday. The anniversary celebration might make Diablo 4 the complete focus, so Steam users will just have to wait and see.
While Diablo 4 is a Free Weekend Promotion, Steam also revealed an upcoming Free-to-Keep Promotion. The former lets players play a game to their heart’s content (usually) for a limited period, but once it expires, players lose access to the game. Steam’s Free-to-Keep Promotion, meanwhile, gives players the full game, as long as claimed by that date. The two promotions go hand in hand to make sure there’s always a free Steam game to check out, at least.
Steam Makes Diablo 4 100% Free for a Limited Time
Through September 21, Steam users can load into Diablo 4 and check out all the new content at no charge to themselves. Diablo 4 Season 15 had a small delay ahead of its launch, but it seems the major issues have been fixed and players will be able to dive in. As fans know, Diablo 4 is a dark fantasy action RPG set in the corrupted world of Sanctuary, where players choose from several iconic classes (with the Amazon coming soon) and battle demons while building increasingly powerful characters. Diablo 4’s open world expands its approach to dungeons, bosses, and combat in ways that have made the loot chase and the franchise narrative even better. It’s pretty much THE ARPG on the market right now, which is exciting since Blizzard recently confirmed Diablo 5.

The FTK promotion has been a bit thin lately, so any confirmation is nice to hear. Right now, nothing but small in-game giveaways are confirmed for September, so this is nice for anyone looking for something a little more.
For those unfamiliar, Fireside Feelings is a cozy game on Steam built around conversations rather than combat or traditional objectives. Players gather around a campfire and take part in discussions between people separated by space and time, with conversations touching on personal experiences, memories, fears, and everyday subjects. The single-player experience is designed to be relaxed and reflective, letting players move through these conversations at their own pace in a warm, hand-drawn setting.
