A 3D Steam game called Jaywalk: An Endless Arcade Hopper will become a paid title on October 13, but those who claim it before then can keep it for free permanently. Jaywalk: An Endless Arcade Hopper launched on Steam in June 2026 and is the solo developer Player 9’s first game.

Gameplay-wise, Jaywalk is quite similar to some popular mobile arcade games like Crossy Road. But the developer says it’s been inspired by Konami’s 1981 Frogger. The primary goal is to help a character, usually an animal, cross an endless road while collecting coins and other rewards along the way. That said, Jaywalk expands on that simple formula with multiple twists, including an online PvP mode and TikTok integration.

Developer Player 9 has stated that Jaywalk will become a paid game on October 13 and will cost $4.99 USD. Until then, anyone who adds the game to their library can continue to play it at no additional cost. Jaywalk might be particularly interesting to TikTok Live streamers because of its interactive features. Players who connect the game to TikFinity can let viewers manipulate the gameplay by spawning new obstacles or triggering in-game events.

Jaywalk also includes a night mode that adds another layer of challenge.

Another feature in Jaywalk that some players might appreciate is online PvP matches. The game lets friends compete for the highest score in seamless matches. Like most endless runner games, Jaywalk‘s playthroughs become more challenging as the player earns more points. Jaywalk also includes a night mode that adds another layer of challenge. In this mode, the player’s vision is limited to a very short radius, making it difficult to see the roads and crossing vehicles.

Jaywalk also has a quality-of-life feature that more arcade runner games should implement. Players can change the POV or camera angle, with several options available. One camera angle essentially turns the game into an isometric title, helping better showcase the voxel visuals.
