- Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League’s player numbers on Steam suggest a struggling start for the game, potentially impacting future seasons.
- Mr. Freeze or Victoria Fries could be the next playable character in season two, adding unique cold-themed traversal abilities and gunplay to the Squad.
- The inclusion of Mr. Freeze or Victoria Fries might make it unlikely for Killer Frost to be added due to similarities in powers and limited time to add new characters.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has been officially out for a week outside of the 72-hour early access for those who purchased the deluxe edition of the game, and players are already looking at possible endgame and post-launch support from Rocksteady. Between Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League leaks and the post-campaign screen showing what’s coming with the four planned seasons so far, players already know Joker is next in line when it comes to new playable characters, starting with season one. After that, It seems players will be able to play as a new Task Force X member, this time controlling some version of Mr. Freeze – most likely, an Elseworlds version called Victoria Fries – and that is bad news for another iconic DC villain.
Given Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League‘s player numbers on Steam, it seems the title is struggling to get a good start, and seasons after the four planned so far may get the short end of the stick. Hopefully, the game recovers in the long run, as the potential for a good looter-shooter is already there, and new characters may help. In that case, after the leaked Victoria Fries, Lawless, and Deathstroke, it may be hard to justify adding Squad members whose abilities are too similar to the current cast, and Killer Frost could be put on the chopping block.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Traversal Tier List
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League features four playable characters at the moment, and their traversal abilities vary in terms of efficacy.
Why Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League’s Victoria Fries Might Mean Killer Frost Won’t Make the Cut
Mr. Freeze or Victoria Fries Would Leave no Room For Another Cold-Themed Squad Member
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has incredibly vast source material to draw from for its villains and heroes alike, and the Elseworlds endgame premise is good enough to make the most of creative ideas. Still, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League‘s gameplay has to abide by certain rules that current and future Squad members cannot really change, meaning each TSX character will need to have some unique abilities and mostly focus on gunplay outside of that.
Mr. Freeze and his variants would be a great starting point because he does a bit of both, and the leaked Victoria Fries for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League could easily follow suit. With huge potential for a unique traversal method using cold-based powers and existing depictions of Mr. Freeze using guns, including a freezing weapon capable of shooting icy gusts, it makes sense to have this DC villain as a Squad member.
It’s worth noting that there’s a major difference in how Mr. Freeze (and thus any alternate version of him) and Killer Frost’s powers work. The former is the source of cold and freezing abilities, whereas Killer Frost needs sources of heat to transform into cold.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League’s Post-Season 4 Leaked Characters Make a Case For Killer Frost
Why Katana and Killer Croc Set a Precedent For More Ice-Themed Characters
This doesn’t mean that having Mr. Freeze or his variants automatically makes Killer Frost an impossible addition, but with a massive roster to choose from and limited time to add
more Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League members
, it does seem unlikely. There is also the possibility that other leaked characters will be added to the game next, as rumors have Katana and Killer Croc next in line after season 4.
Mr. Freeze (and consequently a potential Victoria Fries alternate version) is also known for using a freeze-ray gun he created, meaning he is better suited to handling firearms. Killer Frost’s abilities allow her to create ice projectiles and other weapons she uses instead of guns, making the former more appropriate for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League’s gameplay.
This could build a case for
Killer Frost in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League
, since Deadshot and Deathstroke already share similarities, and Katana could have some overlap with Deathstroke. Likewise, Killer Croc’s gameplay could be similar to King Shark’s, so Killer Frost after Victoria Fries wouldn’t be impossible to see. However, Katana and Killer Croc are far from confirmed, and having Killer Frost immediately after Victor/Victoria Fries does seem like a waste of variety.
