A new PlayStation Plus update has been released for November 2026, adding the PS5 version of Metro Redux. The bundle title gives PS Plus Premium subscribers two games at once, just months ahead of the next Metro entry.

Continuing its tradition of monthly games at no extra cost, PlayStation Plus added three games on November 3. The batch included Dead Island 2, Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered, and Monster Train 2. Sony confirmed that members of all PS Plus tiers can claim these titles until November 30. In a surprise move, though, two more games from one of the most iconic FPS franchises ever have recently been added to PS Plus Premium.

PlayStation Plus Premium Adds PS5 Metro Redux for November 2026

PS Plus Premium has just welcomed the native PS5 version of Metro Redux to its lineup, following its release in late October. Metro Redux is a bundle featuring the remastered campaigns of both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, both enhanced for next-gen consoles. The duo usually costs $29.99, but now Premium members can try out these titles at no additional cost. Sony and Deep Silver didn’t announce or promote the addition of Metro Redux‘s PS5 port, but players quickly noticed its presence in the PS Plus Classics catalog.

While the PS4 edition of Metro Redux was already part of PS Plus Premium, its PS5 version may be more attractive to fans for its new-gen upgrades. The new Metro Redux supports 4K resolution at 60 FPS as well as visual improvements such as better lighting and particle effects. Additionally, the game has upscaled 4K at 120 FPS and PSSR support on the PS5 Pro. Metro Redux also adds support for adaptive triggers on the DualSense and a power-saving mode. Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light remain some of the best games in the Metro series, so FPS fans should seize the opportunity to add the Redux bundle to their game library.

It is worth noting that fans who already own the PS4 version of Metro Redux can currently download its PS5 upgrade for free. On the other hand, newcomers to the Metro series should not pass up the PS Plus Premium benefit. Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light‘s stories are essential to understanding the franchise’s post-apocalyptic context and Artyom’s adventure leading up to Metro Exodus. The series’ next installment, Metro 2039, will also include some popular features from past games, such as the Karma system, so Metro Redux can help fans become familiar with the saga’s gameplay.

A new era is about to start for the Metro franchise. Metro 2039 has locked its release date for February 4, 2027, and developer 4A Games has already shared some insight into its story premise. In this new chapter, Artyom will not be the protagonist. Instead, players are introduced to Stranger, who will have to fight the fascist Novoreich regime. The dev team will likely release more trailers in the coming months, but it has described Metro 2039 as the most shocking Metro entry yet.
