The horrors of Resident Evil Requiem have officially been brought to life courtesy of the Universal Studios Japan theme park, with the debut of Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive. This limited-time haunted house walkthrough experience, running from September through December 2026, recreates the most terrifying moments from Resident Evil Requiem and gives fans the opportunity to be completely immersed in the iconic world of the survival horror game.
First launched on February 27, 2026, Resident Evil Requiem was quickly met with critical and commercial success. Fans praised the graphical quality, balance between horror and action, and the split storytelling between dual protagonists Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy. Resident Evil Requiem introduces audiences to new locations, enemies, and villains, and players can now enjoy a slice of those terrifying new encounters in the real world with Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive.
Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive at Universal Studios Japan
Universal Studios Japan (USJ) describes Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive as an “R-15 attraction” where zombies and characters from the game will “appear right in front of” fans. Guests will enter the Wrenwood Hotel before making their way to the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center, as the oppressive atmosphere and intense action of the game come to life in a full 360 degree experience. Visitors will be able to walk through familiar hallways and live out actual encounters with The Girl, the Chef, the Singing Zombies, and more familiar enemies from Resident Evil Requiem. Both Grace and Leon are also confirmed to make an appearance. Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive debuted on September 11, 2026, and will be available to visitors until December 27, 2026.

USJ notes that guests will need to acquire a special Timed Entry eTicket, in addition to a standard entry theme park ticket, with eTickets distributed through a randomized digital lottery. Social media users have recommended that fans who want to prioritize Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive should aim to arrive at USJ right at park opening and attempt to join a standby queue before the Timed Entry ticketing begins each day at 10am. Guests cannot reserve the Timed Entry eTicket in advance and can only join the lottery by being present within the theme park, so Resident Evil Requiem fans may want to strategize accordingly.
This is not the first time that USJ and Capcom have teamed up for an immersive Resident Evil experience. Biohazard: The Extreme was a haunted house attraction offered during the Halloween Horror Nights seasonal event at USJ, with that iteration recreating the A and B paths of Resident Evil 2. More recently, Biohazard Night of Heroes was a live-action stunt show at USJ that blended the stories of Resident Evil 2 and RE3 with appearances from Leon and Ada Wong. Both of those offerings received positive reception, and early reactions to Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive have once again voiced support for the continued partnership between USJ and Capcom. It remains unknown if the story of Resident Evil Requiem will come to life anywhere stateside, but Resident Evil has made an appearance at Halloween Horror Nights Orlando in the past.
In addition to Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive, audiences continue to look forward to the upcoming story DLC for Resident Evil Requiem. Despite very few details from Capcom, fans have excitedly theorized what type of content may be coming, with speculation ranging from a prequel DLC starring Grace’s mother, Alyssa Ashcroft, to a possible return to the Spencer Mansion. As it stands, players will need to wait for any official word on the next Requiem DLC, but those willing to brave the horrors of the game in real life can enjoy Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive in the meantime.
