Following the reveal of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s remake earlier this year, Nintendo shared an extended look at the game during the company’s latest Direct. Naturally, players have been sharing their opinions on social media, and certain aspects of the game’s art style has been divisive among the fan base. However, there have been some very positive reactions as well.
The new looks for young Link and some of the other character inspired a round of memes and jokes.
Some players had conflicted feelings about the remake’s enhancements.
And then there are the Zelda faithful who are thrilled to have Link and company back in an upgraded version of the classic game.
At least one player was impressed by the game’s new feature, which allows fans to hum one of the Zelda themes to make Link play it with his ocarina.
The Direct also disclosed additional details about the remake, including Link’s newfound ability to jump, the voice acting, and a game mechanic that was apparently borrowed from Breath of the Wild.
Nintendo will release its The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2 on November 5. There will also be a Zelda concert tour in 2027.
