The Pokemon Company is making a major change to its official Pokemon TCG events, blocking its vendors from selling specific items. The changes are aimed at curbing the rampant scalping problem that has plagued the Pokemon TCG in recent years.
Pokemon TCG is Banning Sales of Graded Slabs, High-Value Items at Events
The Pokemon Company has officially rolled out a new policy regarding the sale of specific items at its official Pokemon TCG events. The change will bar vendors partnered with the Pokemon TCG not only from selling graded cards at its events, but also from selling various high-value items. Vendors will no longer be able to sell individual items worth more than $1,000 at major events, and the policy also prohibits selling most products from the Japanese Pokemon Center. The change was confirmed to be going into effect beginning with the Indianapolis Regional, being held from May 29–31.
