On February 10, a fan page for Funko POPs released an image showcasing supposed figures for Dragon Age: The Veilguard‘s Solas, Harding, Neve, and Emmrich. It seems this post leaked announcement early or was otherwise invented or made-up, despite the images matching Funko branding and not seemingly being AI-generated. It was hard to believe, regardless of the exact happenstance. GameRant then reached out to Funko to confirm whether these Dragon Age: The Veilguard POPs were indeed legitimate or not.
Now, GameRant can confirm that these Funko POPs are indeed official and are available now. The consensus around these Funko POPs is that they came completely out of left field, and no fan expected them to happen—especially over a year after the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Fans should not take this as a sign that EA or BioWare are making any major moves with the IP, especially not with the very public layoffs that hit BioWare, the complete shift of BioWare to Mass Effect 5, and the general reports of development hell that hit Dragon Age: The Veilguard. That said, Dragon Age: The Veilguard was a game of small victories, and this is a small victory for fans.
Right now, the line-up only consists of Solas and some Dragon Age: The Veilguard companions (Harding, Neve, and Emmrich). There are plenty of characters that fans would love to see get similar (if in some cases slightly better) treatments, ranging from Elgar’nan and Ghilan’nain to head-scratching exclusions like Bellara, Davrin, Lucanis, and Taash. Heck, I’ll throw in more names: Manfred, Assan, Solas’ wolf form, a few Darkspawn, Evka Ivo and her husband Antoine, and obviously, First Warden Jowin Glastrum.

It is not confirmed, as of this writing, that any of these figures will be made OR that there will be any continuation of these Funko POPs. However, Funko has always put a premium on fandom, and the first rule of business is to find a need and fulfill it. Many fans wanted more Dragon Age: The Veilguard merch, and while this is a start, I’d recommend making any demands for other Funko POPs well-known (like Lucanis and Davrin).
