The ARC Raiders community is calling on developer Embark Studios to fix a new bug that is causing “unavoidable deaths” for some players. ARC Raiders recently received its big Flashpoint update, which added tons of new content to the game. Unfortunately, it also seems to have introduced a new bug that can result in unfair deaths for players if they are caught under the correct circumstances.

While ARC Raiders has been a massive success for Embark Studios, selling millions of copies in its first few months, picking up the coveted Best Multiplayer award at the 2025 Game Awards, receiving rave reviews from players and critics, and even retaining a strong playerbase on Steam months after its launch, it hasn’t been without its fair share of issues. From repeated out-of-bounds map exploits to UI issues and even bugs preventing some from taking part in the seasonal Expedition, fans are beginning to grow tired of the constant issues with ARC Raiders. Now, following its latest Flashpoint update, another severe issue has been discovered.

ARC Raiders Dev Acknowledges ‘Strong Appetite’ for PvE Content

ARC Raiders developer addresses the ongoing debate surrounding PvP and PvE and says there’s a “strong appetite” for the latter.

Ticks Are Killing Some ARC Raiders Players Unfairly

While the new Vaporizer is being labelled as ARC Raiders‘ deadliest enemy, some players are being unfairly taken out by the smallest enemy in the game: the Tick. In a new post on Reddit, one user posted a public service announcement to the community, as a new bug appears to make it impossible to remove a Tick while holding a battery or field crate. Usually, players can either dodge roll or press square or X to remove the Tick once it attacks, but neither option seems to be possible if attacked while holding one of the aforementioned items. The above clip shows a player experiencing this unfortunate bug, which resulted in their demise as they simply had to accept their fate.

Fellow players attempted to figure out a potential workaround, such as possibly rebinding the “drop” action to a different key, but it appears as though the only way this issue is going to be fixed is by a good old-fashioned hotfix update. A fellow player who encountered the very same problem said, “I’ve died in some embarrassing ways, but that one had some emotional damage to it.” Others called upon the studio to release a fix for the bug sooner rather than later.

While the next major ARC Raiders update isn’t expected to arrive until the end of the month, Embark does release new, smaller patches every Tuesday. The studio has yet to address this specific issue publicly, but there’s hope that it could be addressed in a new update in the coming weeks.

Fans are also desperately pleading for Embark to revert a change made in ARC Raiders‘ big Flashpoint update. Although the patch made plenty of meaningful improvements, such as a new QoL feature related to crafting, it also unnecessarily changed the sounds associated with the Rocketeer. Players were completely thrown off by the change and have called for Embark to release a new update and bring back the old sounds, as they say it now sounds too similar to the Vaporizer, the newest ARC enemy.
