It looks like Turnip Boy is officially a career criminal, as committing tax evasion wasn’t enough for the mischievous vegetable. His new adventure sees him robbing a bank–and it looks every bit as wild as the first game. Plus, Turnip Boy has traded in his shovel for guns. By our count, this means he’s the first turnip to fire a gun. If you’re interested in checking out the quirky sequel, you’ll be glad to know that Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is discounted on both PC and Switch, with the PC version getting a rather massive discount at Green Man Gaming. For Xbox players, you’ll find it in the Game Pass library.
The best deal for Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is at Green Man Gaming, where you can snag the title for just $10.79 (down from $15). Purchasing from GMG gets you a Steam key, so you don’t have to worry about installing a second launcher before robbing the bank.
Over at the Switch eShop, Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is seeing a smaller discount, though it’s still just $13.49 (down from $15).
Turnip Boy Robs a Bank features the same comedic chops as its predecessor, offering off-the-wall dialogue, memorable characters, and a breezy storyline that you should be able to complete in about five hours. However, this time around the game is introducing roguelite elements to the mix, ensuring there’s a reason to come back for more after the credits roll.
You’ll have plenty of weapons at your disposal as you help Turnip Boy rob a bank, including C4, a diamond pickaxe, radio jammers, and an entire arsenal of firearms. Once again, you can find a bunch of collectible hats to help Turnip Boy with his fashion or pick up cassettes that unlock “new banger tracks to blast.”
If you want to play through the first game, you’ll find Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion for $5.09 on PC through GOG, though it’s full-price on all other platforms.
