A well-known retailer has accidentally published new information about EA Sports UFC 6 ahead of an official reveal. According to the listing, EA Sports UFC 6, which was announced earlier this month and will receive its first official trailer soon, will include two new game modes and make some major gameplay changes, including a new “Flow State” feature.
The current installment in EA’s MMA series was released back in 2023. Although EA Sports UFC 5 reviews were generally favorable, with a critic score of 78 on Metacritic, user reviews were much more negative. A lackluster career mode, a controversial doctor’s stoppage feature, and other issues have resulted in the fifth entry in the series receiving a user score of 3.7. Another common complaint from fans at launch was the lack of ranked fighters in the game, which EA would go on to address via continued updates for EA Sports UFC 5, eventually bringing the game to 98% parity with the official UFC roster.

Retail Listing Leaks New EA Sports UFC 6 Details
After three years of waiting, fans are eager to see if the next entry in EA’s UFC series has learned from past mistakes. While the studio has yet to officially pull back the curtain, it did open pre-orders for EA Sports UFC 6 earlier this week and confirmed that a first-look trailer will be released soon. However, Smyths Toys, a popular retailer operating in the United Kingdom and Central Europe, may have accidentally jumped the gun and revealed some new details on the title prior to the game’s first trailer. As spotted by a user on Reddit, the listing, which has since been removed from the retailer’s website, details two new game modes, new gameplay features, and more.
According to the listing, EA Sports UFC 6 will once again use EA’s Frostbite game engine, bringing ragdoll physics and “damage reactions that hurt so good.” The next entry in the series may also reportedly introduce a new gameplay feature known as “Flow State,” which is enabled when a player dishes out tons of damage to their opponent and engages an athlete’s standout skills. Exactly what this means and if it will feature in both offline and online play remains unknown.
Earlier this month, a trusted insider leaked new details on EA Sports UFC 6, suggesting that there may be some sort of new mode featuring former Featherweight Champion, Max Holloway. The insider said they “don’t believe” it will come to fruition, but now the leaked Smyths Toys listing may have given fans further insight into two new game modes for the next UFC game. One of which will be called “Hall of Legends,” while the second will be called “The Legacy.” According to the now removed listing, these modes will allow players to experience the stories of UFC greats or carve their own path from the backrooms to the bright lights.

The release date for EA Sports UFC 6 has now been confirmed for June 19 and will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Aside from the cover art for the Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition of the game, EA has yet to reveal any official screenshots or gameplay, but the wait shouldn’t be long, as the studio says a full reveal is coming soon. There have also been rumors of a PC version of UFC 6 releasing post-launch, but this has yet to be confirmed.
