During EVO 2026, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game held a new livestream event to cover more aspects of the game, including revealing the full list of Season 1 DLC characters. Despite the popular animated show originally airing on Nickelodeon back in 2005, the franchise has continued to be massively popular, continuing to attract new fans to the IP. 2026 could be one of the bigger years for the franchise, led by a brand-new game called Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game.

Avatar Legends was originally announced in October 2025, seemingly coming out of nowhere. The first trailer, while pretty short, confirmed beloved characters like Aang, Kotara, and Zuko, mixing it up with The Legend of Korra era characters as well. Set to launch with 12 characters, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is a 1v1 fighter that uses full hand-drawn characters and animations, helping it look like it was taken right from the classic TV series. It features an original story and has unique gameplay features like support characters that change up each fighter’s abilities, as well as a Flow System that impacts how each character moves. With the release date rapidly approaching, the development team has finally revealed Season 1.

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Reveals Season 1 DLC

During the annual EVO 2026 event in Las Vegas, the team held a special panel to showcase more of Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game. As part of the event, a new pre-order trailer was shown off and at the end, the full DLC roster for Season 1 was confirmed, bringing some surprising characters to the main roster. Season 1 is bringing Bolin and Chief Lin Beifong from the Legend of Korra series, while the other two spots are being filled by Ty Lee and Uncle Iroh from The Last Airbender. No dates were provided for any of the characters, and it isn’t yet known if the order they were shown off in the trailer is the actual release order as well.

The characters were not shown in any gameplay, nor were any hints teased about what they can do, but there’s plenty of evidence from the animated series that could help shape what fans could expect. Uncle Iroh is a massively popular Avatar character who many fans were hoping to see, likely bringing his fire breath and dragon-style attacks to the game. While Bolin may seem like the typical Earthbender, he eventually learned Lavabending, which could play a big part of his kit. Lin Beifong is the daughter of Toph and a proficient Metalbender, armed with retractable whips which could enhance her mobility. Finally, Ty Lee is a former friend and sidekick of Azula. While not a bender, she’s not only incredibly agile, but she is proficient at chi-blocking, suppressing bending abilities.

As for the final spot on the Season 1 roster, the trailer revealed a mystery character draped in shadow. The reason is that the Avatar Legends team is letting fans who preorder the game vote on who takes that final spot. Also revealed during the livestream, fans can vote on 5 characters, with the one receiving the most votes taking the fifth spot.

The five available characters are:

  • Kuvira (The Legend of Korra)
  • Tenzin (The Legend of Korra)
  • Amon (The Legend of Korra)
  • Asami Sato (The Legend of Korra)
  • King Bumi (The Last Airbender)
