Walmart Is Selling Exclusive Switch 2 Bundles For Black Friday

Two new Switch 2 bundles are now available at Walmart for the Black Friday shopping season, as customers can pick up a new Nintendo console that comes with either Madden NFL 26 or NBA 2K26. However, prospective buyers of either Switch 2 bundle from Walmart must set aside some storage space, as both Madden NFL 26 and NBA 2K26 must be downloaded from the Internet.

Since its June 5 launch, the Switch 2 has seen plenty of success, as it sold over 10 million units globally with no signs of slowing down. Although the Switch 2 is available as a standalone unit, game bundles that featured titles like Mario Kart World and Pokemon Legends: Z-A have proven lucrative for Nintendo and valuable for consumers looking for a new console. Along with its upgraded hardware and backward compatibility with most Switch games, the Switch 2 still has exclusive titles like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Kirby Air Riders, and The Duskbloods releasing over the coming months.

Walmart Launches New Switch 2 Bundles for Sports Fans

While Nintendo is hosting its own Black Friday discounts, Walmart is also offering customers two new bundles to pick from. The Switch 2 Madden NFL 26 bundle and NBA 2K26 bundle are now available at Walmart for $499.99 each, before taxes and fees are applied. Compared to the individual prices of the Switch 2, Madden NFL 26, and NBA 2K26, the new Walmart bundles will save users $20. The sports-themed Switch 2 bundles are available during Walmart’s initial Black Friday sales window, which lasts until November 16. A second window will run from November 25 to 30, but it is unclear if the Madden NFL 26 or NBA 2K26 Switch 2 bundles will be available at those times.

However, a major caveat that buyers must consider is that physical copies of both Madden NFL 26 and NBA 2K26 are sold as Game-Key Cards. Since there is no Switch 2 game data on them, users who insert a Game-Key Card into the system will download all the necessary game data when connected to the Internet. Suffice it to say, the use of Game-Key Cards has been a contentious topic for Switch 2 users and game collectors.

Despite some graphical compromises being made for the Switch 2 ports, both NBA 2K26 and Madden NFL 26 still receive consistent game updates across all platforms. It remains to be seen how many Walmart customers and sports fans will buy either Switch 2 bundle this holiday shopping season.
