Xbox Game Pass Adds Massive Open-World RPG with 90 Critic Score

The Xbox Game Pass catalog has expanded to include Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, which is now available across most of its membership tiers. Its arrival marks the tenth addition to Microsoft’s subscription service in March 2026 and the 48th Xbox Game Pass release since the start of the year.

Released in January 2024, Infinite Wealth is still the latest mainline installment in the Like a Dragon franchise, previously called Yakuza. It is also the second entry in the series to offer turn-based combat, following the 2020 Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The open-world RPG carries OpenCritic’s “Mighty” rating, derived from 161 reviews with an average score of 90 and a near-perfect 97% recommendation rate. This makes Infinite Wealth the highest-rated Like a Dragon game in the aggregator’s database.

Xbox Game Pass Closes the Last Yakuza Catalog Gap with Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

The renowned JRPG became available through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Standard, and PC Game Pass earlier today, March 24. With this addition, the subscription service has now offered every mainline Yakuza game in some form—original, remastered, or reimagined—at least once. Still, most of them haven’t been part of Microsoft’s content catalog since early 2025, when seven Yakuza titles left Xbox Game Pass.

Today’s catalog update follows the surprise arrival of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii across three Xbox Game Pass tiers in early February 2026. The pirate-themed spin-off arrived first despite being a direct sequel to Infinite Wealth. While most of the series’ titles are no longer available to subscribers, none of the major ones spent less than two and a half years in the Xbox Game Pass catalog. In fact, most of the mainline installments—ranging from Yakuza 3 Remastered through Yakuza 6—stuck around for over four years. That track record suggests Infinite Wealth could stay on the service until at least mid-2028.

Yakuza Franchise Xbox Game Pass History

With the eighth mainline Like a Dragon entry now available on Xbox Game Pass, the list of installments that have yet to debut on the service is exceedingly short. It effectively consists of only three contemporary releases: the newly launched Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, as well as the Takuya Kimura-led detective spin-offs Judgment (2018) and Lost Judgment (2021).

Four more titles are due to join Xbox Game Pass before March 2026 comes to an end. Dotemu’s 2025 roguelite Absolum is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, March 25, whereas Lion Shield’s city sim Nova Roma will debut the day after. Two 2017 titles, The Long Dark and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, are slated to join the service on March 30 and 31, respectively, bringing the total number of monthly Game Pass catalog additions to 14.
