One retailer has confirmed that it will have fresh stock of the 40th Anniversary Legend of Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch 2 console and Pro Controller soon. Nintendo is celebrating The Legend of Zelda‘s 40th anniversary in a variety of ways, with one of the biggest being the release of the Ocarina of Time remake on the Switch 2.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Switch 2 actually marks the second time that Nintendo has remade the Nintendo 64 classic. A 3DS version of the game launched 15 years ago with new control options and improved graphics, but the Switch 2 remake is much more ambitious. Not only have the graphics gotten a massive upgrade, but more substantial changes have been made as well, like the addition of a jump button, a reworked Castle Town, a fully controllable camera, and more. There’s a great deal of hype for the Ocarina of Time remake on Switch 2, and for good reason, but it’s not the only way Nintendo is celebrating the franchise’s 40th anniversary.

Zelda Switch 2 Console and Pro Controller Restock Confirmed

Nintendo is also releasing a variety of specially-themed Zelda hardware and accessories as part of the 40th anniversary, with the limited-edition Switch 2 console and Pro Controller set to launch on October 29, about a week before the OoT remake hits store shelves. The console costs $520 and the Pro Controller costs $100, but both sold out almost immediately. Best Buy has now confirmed that it will have more Zelda Switch 2 consoles and Pro Controllers for sale in select stores starting midnight ET on November 5. This restock coincides with Best Buy’s plans to host a midnight release party for the Ocarina of Time remake on Switch 2, so those that pre-order from the store can pop in and potentially grab the themed console and Pro Controller when they’re picking up their copy of the game. Availability will vary by store, so fans should keep that in mind.

Best Buy having more Zelda Switch 2 console and Pro Controller stock is a good sign that other retailers may have their supplies refreshed as well. If so, there should be more opportunities for Zelda fans to get their hands on the limited-edition items before they’re gone forever. This is good news for anyone that missed out on the initial Zelda Switch 2 console and Pro Controller pre-orders, but it’s likely that the restocks will also sell out fast.

Even though the Zelda Switch 2 console and Pro Controller are releasing around the same time as the Ocarina of Time remake, they are not necessarily themed after the new game. Instead, they are themed after the Zelda franchise in general, with special green Joy-Con 2 controllers, Triforce symbols, and a gold and black dock.

What’s potentially driving even more interest in this new Zelda hardware is the fact that this is the first time Nintendo has released a themed Switch 2 console. Nintendo has a long history of releasing themed consoles, but it’s taken over a year for the Switch 2’s first variant to hit the market. It’s likely future major Nintendo games will get their own specially-themed Switch 2s as well, especially considering all the buzz around the Zelda one, but time will tell on that front.
