HoYoverse has officially confirmed the release window for Zenless Zone Zero‘s long-awaited release on Steam, scheduled to release this year. The announcement came alongside the Special Program for Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8.
The urban action RPG from HoYoverse has provided fans with plenty of highlights for the game in recent weeks. Zenless Zone Zero‘s most recent updates finally welcomed the addition of the long-rumored Angels of Delusion faction to the roster, with Sunna and Aria joining the playable cast in Version 2.6 and Nangong Yu arriving with Version 2.7. HoYoverse has also confirmed a new S-Rank version of another fan-favorite starter character in the upcoming Version 2.8, giving fans a new version of Billy with the release of Starlight – Billy. Now, fans of Zenless Zone Zero will soon have another new way to experience the popular RPG.

Zenless Zone Zero Is Coming to Steam
HoYoverse officially confirmed the upcoming Steam release of Zenless Zone Zero on April 24, though a firm release date was not announced. Zenless Zone Zero is currently scheduled to launch on Steam in Q2 2026, with the Steam version said to support the America, Europe, Asia, and TW/HK/MO servers. The announcement included links for players to wishlist the Steam version and sign up for early access testing of the urban action RPG’s Steam client. HoYoverse also announced a wishlist rewards campaign, incentivizing players to add Zenless Zone Zero to their wishlist, with fans being rewarded with 60 Polychromes once 300,000 users have wishlisted the game.
Zenless Zone Zero‘s addition to Steam will be a major milestone for the game, though it’s not the first HoYoverse RPG to be featured on the platform. HoYoverse previously released Honkai Impact 3rd on Steam in October 2021, though the game notably did not include cross-platform support with mobile devices and HoYoverse’s proprietary PC launcher. HoYoverse was previously rumored to be working on Steam versions for both Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, though an official announcement has not been made for either game.
The announcement of Zenless Zone Zero‘s Steam version comes as the RPG gears up for the launch of its next big update. Version 2.8 will officially conclude the main story for Season 2, teasing further conflict between the Proxies and Ramiel within its main story. The update will add two new S-Rank characters to the roster, debuting both Promeia and the previously mentioned Starlight – Billy as its newest units. Zenless Zone Zero is also releasing a brand-new skin for one of its most popular cast members in Version 2.8, adding the Dignified Blossom outfit for S-Rank character Hoshimi Miyabi.

Zenless Zone Zero fans should have plenty to be excited for beyond the next update to the RPG as well. The conclusion of Zenless Zone Zero‘s Version 2.8 is expected to welcome the official launch of the RPG’s Season 3, expected to add a brand-new district of New Eridu for players to explore. HoYoverse is also closing in on the second anniversary of the game on July 4, which will likely come with plenty of festivities and free rewards for fans of the game. Zenless Zone Zero has big things in store for the game in the near future, between Season 3 and the game’s long-awaited debut on Steam.
