IO Interactive has shared updated PC specification requirements for 007 First Light ahead of the game’s launch. The development team confirmed that playing 007 First Light at 1440p and 4K resolutions and at a comfortable frame rate can be achieved without enabling any upscaling technology.
It’s no secret that 007 First Light is one of the most anticipated games of 2026. Although 007 First Light will launch on most current-gen platforms on May 27, the Nintendo Switch 2 port of the game will arrive at a later date. IO Interactive stated that the game needs more development time dedicated to the Switch 2 version.
007 First Light Won’t Include This Popular Feature
IO Interactive confirms that its upcoming James Bond game, 007 First Light, won’t include a popular feature and that it won’t be added post-launch.
007 First Light Unveils Updated PC Spec Requirements
Back in January, IO Interactive previously gave players a look at the minimum requirements to play 007 First Light on PC. Now, IO Interactive has released an updated spec sheet for 007 First Light players who want to play the game at 1440p and 4K resolutions. The Enthusiast and Ultra presets were added alongside the previously-listed Minimum and Recommended slates. The Enthusiast and Ultra presets will require some powerful components, though these should allow gamers to play at 60 frames per second (FPS) or higher. A six-core processor, such as the AMD Ryzen 5 7600, should suffice for playing 007 First Light on Medium or High settings. However, the price of getting a recommended graphics card may vary.

For example, one of the graphics cards listed to play 007 First Light at 1440p and 60 FPS is the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070, with refurbished units selling for around $500 on Amazon as of this writing. IO Interactive noted that the Minimum, Recommended, and Enthusiast listings for playing 007 First Light on PC were made without any upscaling in mind. However, the Ultra preset will necessitate using Nvidia DLSS 4.5 upscaling technology. Although Nvidia has nearly complete control of the GPU market, users with an AMD GPU can still comfortably play 007 First Light at a 4K resolution with a graphics card that has at least 16 GB of video memory. Both the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and the Radeon RX 9070 XT will work in this regard.

007 First Light Won’t Have All Its Features At Launch
However, some of 007 First Light‘s graphical features will not immediately be available at launch. IO Interactive stated that Nvidia’s RTX Path Tracing and DLSS Ray Reconstruction will arrive in a summer 2026 update. However, other options, such as an uncapped frame rate, input remapping, and various audio options, should be available once 007 First Light goes live.

Although 007 First Light is made by the same studio that brought the Hitman franchise into the spotlight, the upcoming James Bond adventure blends melee and gunplay into its combat system with fluidity and flair. Given that 007 First Light is just weeks away from it’s anticipated launch, time will tell how it will perform once it reaches consumers.
