We all, of course, know where the Japan Expo takes place. Say it with me now: In Ja- Paris. Yup, the French convention takes place every year in the capital city, and claims to be the largest such gathering outside of Japan itself. With over a quarter of a million people showing up in 2019, it’s unlikely to be an exaggeration. And wherever there’s cosplay, Kotaku chums Mineralblu will be there too, to take videos and photographs of the most impressive fits on the floors.
As you might expect from the capital city of fashion, Parisian cosplayers do not slouch. The attention to detail in outfits like @yuan__rox’s Fire Keeper or @maiicosplay’s Lady Shar are on another level. We also have a splendid Link, an incredible Monster High group cosplay, and a mindblowing depiction of Oda from Cyberpunk 2077.
