Horror game fans on PC that want to play through a 2026 release without paying a single dime can now snag Callus for free for a limited time. PC gamers are treated to all kinds of free games on a regular basis. New free games are available on the Epic Games Store every single week like clockwork, while Steam has a variety of free game giveaways live at any given time.

While the Epic Games Store and Steam are perhaps the most popular ways to claim free games on PC, there are other ways to get freebies as well. Itch.io is another resource PC gamers can utilize to grow their library of completely free video games, with multiple free games available there right now. One of the latest free PC games on Itch.io is only available until Monday, June 15, so those interested will need to be sure to claim it while they still can.

PC Game With STALKER Vibes Free to Keep Until June 19

A PC game with serious STALKER vibes becomes free to keep until June 19.

Callus is Free for a Limited Time

2026 horror game Callus is free on Itch.io until June 15. For the uninitiated, Callus was developed by EMIKA_GAMES and was released earlier this year for $4.99. Callus is a short psychological horror game with a runtime that averages about 30 minutes. Described by the developer as a “walking simulator,” Callus is about players returning to their mother’s apartment, where, in typical horror game fashion, they begin to experience some disturbing things. The description of the game’s story is kept purposefully vague, with the developer describing it as a story of “coldness, overprotection, and indifference.”

Callus may be a short game, but that just makes it the perfect game to get for free. With its 100% discount, horror game fans can play through Callus and enjoy the experience without worrying about how much they spent on such a short game. A game’s length doesn’t determine its value, though. Callus has “Mostly Positive” reviews and $4.99 isn’t a particularly high asking price, so if you’re a horror game fan that missed out on getting it for free, you may still want to consider picking it up.

2026 has been a strong year for new horror game releases. Callus may be one of the more lesser-known new horror games that have dropped this year, but there have been higher-profile releases like first-person game Crisol: Theater of Idols and, of course, Capcom’s blockbuster Resident Evil Requiem. There are new horror games releasing later this year as well, like Silent Hill: Townfall, that should ensure 2026 goes down as one of the more memorable years for the genre.

As far as other free games go, there’s a bunch to claim right now. Wild Terra 2: New Lands, Eets, The Red Lantern, Happy’s Humble Burger Farm, Tell Me Why, and Gravity Circuit are all free on Steam at the time of this writing, with various expiration dates, while The Ouroboros King and Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks are free on the Epic Games Store until Thursday, June 18 at 10:00am CST. At that point, they will be replaced by the critically-acclaimed Citizen Sleeper and ROBOBEAT.
