Infinity Nikki is launching the second half of its Itzaland chapter in Version 2.5 on April 23, as Infold reveals an overview of the upcoming patch on the game’s official blog. Released in early December 2024, Infinity Nikki had an extremely successful launch for Infold, drawing millions of new fans to the dress-up gacha franchise. For its first five months, Infinity Nikki earned a lot of goodwill through consistent updates, constant improvement, and favorable gacha mechanics. It all changed in late April 2025, when Version 1.5 launched to near-universal backlash, as the game’s beloved prologue got removed, a controversial dye system was introduced, and severe technical issues plagued the player experience.
For Infinity Nikki and the team at Infold, it was a long era of climbing out of the nadir as the developers slowly earned back the community’s trust, culminating in the release of Itzaland in Version 2.0. The new Miraland region was well received by most Infinity Nikki fans as many who left in Version 1.5 returned in December 2025. Among its myriad of improvements, Itzaland notably introduced archery to Infinity Nikki, which turned its rudimentary combat system into something a bit more ambitious. A combat version of Mira Crown was added to Infinity Nikki in Version 2.0, and this Merit Arena had a progression system that awarded players materials for the new Miracle Outfit.

In addition to its long-awaited housing system, Version 1.9 is bringing a myriad of improvements to Infinity Nikki, especially for its co-op.
Infinity Nikki Introduces Version 2.5 on April 23, Adding New Zone and Ability Outfits
On April 23, 2026, Infinity Nikki is set to expand Itzaland with a major map expansion to the north. In Version 2.0, it released the first five chapters of its story, and now Version 2.5 is expected to add the rest. As outlined in Infinity Nikki‘s latest post, the new zone is called the Boneyard, a gloomy, yet whimsical landscape littered with dragon bones and ancient ruins, accessed via the northern edge of the current Itzaland map. It will introduce new Ability Outfits to Infinity Nikki, such as a Dragonbone Master outfit that allows Nikki to summon dragon bones to solve puzzles or even ride them like a surfboard.
Version 2.5 won’t necessarily be the final map expansion for Itzaland in Infinity Nikki, but it is expected to close out its Main Quest, as Nikki will journey to the Boneyard to continue her hunt for Medael. Whereas Version 2.0 largely centered around the Shroomlings, Version 2.5 will be the opportunity for the Parksolians to take the spotlight: dragon-like humans with blue horns and scales. In terms of Outfit Banners in Infinity Nikki, the new patch will come with a 5-Star Archer outfit with a skeletal valkyrie theme, while the 5-Star Bug-Catching Outfit will have a more ethereal, floral theme. Notably, the Bug-Catching outfit will be paired with a 4-Star Whimsicality Outfit with a knightly theme, letting players create a more armored fit for their Nikki.
With nearly a year since Infinity Nikki‘s controversies in Version 1.5, the community has settled into a state of cautious trust. The game has undoubtedly improved in the months after Version 1.5, and Version 2.5 promises both technical improvements and long-requested features (such as styling contests between other Nikkis). The Merit Arena is also being expanded in Version 2.5, as Infinity Nikki players will be able to tackle seven new combat challenges in the coming weeks.

Ultimately, it remains to be seen if this upcoming Infinity Nikki patch will continue to build on what Version 2.0 introduced, or if it will be another stumbling step like Version 1.5. Version 2.5 is scheduled to launch on April 23, 2026, concluding its maintenance at 20:00 (UTC-7).
