World of Warcraft Brings Back Children’s Week With a New Reward

World of Warcraft Brings Back Children’s Week With a New Reward

Children’s Week is back in World of Warcraft for 2026, featuring the brand-new Nap Mat toy as a collectible reward. Though there isn’t much new content in World of Warcraft for Children’s Week this year, players can still get all previous rewards and achievements from past iterations of the in-game event.

In World of Warcraft, Children’s Week is a yearly event near the end of April that is all about the orphans of Azeroth. During the holiday, fans can temporarily adopt children, take them on wild adventures, and earn charming toys, pets, and Transmogs. Last year, World of Warcraft introduced some big changes to Children’s Week, including the introduction of a new questline featuring four orphans from The War Within.

Blizzard Apologizes for World of Warcraft Update Issues

Blizzard releases a formal apology and promises to do better in light of the troubled release of World of Warcraft: Midnight Patch 12.0.5.

Now, World of Warcraft has brought back Children’s Week again, running through May 4, 2026. By completing any Children’s Week questline, players can earn a Well-loved Figurine, which can be traded for any of the event’s many rewards, including the new Nap Mat toy. Fans can find this item at the Children’s Week vendors, located in Dornogal, Stormwind, Orgrimmar, and the new version of Silvermoon from WoW: Midnight.

  • New toy: Nap Mat
  • New decorations and event vendor in Midnight’s Silvermoon City

Scooter the Snail and Legs, pet rewards from the vanilla and The Burning Crusade Children’s Week quests, respectively, have been added to the vendors this year as well, despite being inexplicably absent last year.

Unfortunately, there are no new questlines involved in this year’s Children’s Week. This is a shame because Salandria, the Blood Elf orphan from The Burning Crusade’s Children’s Week update, is all grown up now and appears as a quest giver for the Paladin Rescue side story in WoW: Midnight. That said, players can still go back and adopt the younger version of Salandria and bring her to the new Silvermoon. Considering her Children’s Day questline ends with Bronze Dragons suggesting Salandria was central to a temporal crisis, it is ironic that one can now bring her younger self to meet her older self.

All other existing questlines, rewards, and achievements from past Children’s Weeks are available again this year as well. Many of these achievements are required to earn the “For the Children” meta achievement, which is, in turn, required for the “What a Long, Strange Trip It’s Been” holiday meta achievement in WoW, making it an important week for completionists.

The Trading Post catalog in World of Warcraft is set to refresh about halfway through Children’s Week. Because several Traveler’s Log challenges involve the event, Children’s Week is a good opportunity to finish April’s objectives or get a head start on May’s when they reset.
