Zenless Zone Zero Reveals Roscaelifer Characters for Season 3

Zenless Zone Zero has revealed the cast of its upcoming Season 3, comprised of ten new characters. The action RPG is getting ready to wrap up Season 2 with the release of Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8, scheduled for launch on May 6. To set the stage for its next era, the gacha title has shared a new teaser showcasing the next major explorable area, Roscaelifer.

As confirmed by HoYoverse, a ton of content is coming with Zenless Zone Zero’s 2.8 update. The patch will launch two new S-Rank Agents, Promeia and Starlight – Billy. The characters will also play a key role in the 2.8 main story chapter, focused on uncovering Remielle’s plans. It’s been heavily hinted that Remielle is connected to Sunbringer, a lore-relevant character and Void Hunter. Now, Zenless Zone Zero has officially shared a closer look at Sunbringer and multiple upcoming characters.

Zenless Zone Zero‘s latest trailer, titled “Before the Wind Rises,” featured ten new characters that will star in the Season 3 storyline. Among them are some characters that have previously appeared in-game, like Remielle, Velina, Norma, and Seth Lowell’s brother, Severian. Other new faces include Claret, Roxy, Sigrid, Phoenix, The Storyteller, and the mysterious Sunbringer. With Season 3, players can expect the addition of new Zenless Zone Zero factions with different missions. Moreover, Remielle, Severian, Sigrid, and Sunbringer seem to be thirens, but it remains to be seen which other upcoming characters have animal-like features.

While HoYoverse has not formally announced it, the showcased characters will likely join the playable roster during Season 3, as happened with the units shown in Season 2’s first teaser. The Season 3 trailer also puts the spotlight on Roscaelifer, also known as the Celestial Nexus, an area where humans and Bangboo coexist. Little is known about Roscaelifer, but it’s been confirmed that the area was founded and is under the rule of Sunbringer. Finally, the game’s protagonists can be seen wearing new outfits, and it seems someone is investigating them. It is worth noting that Zenless Zone Zero‘s Belle and Wise will receive their first combat playable forms in Version 3.0 with the launch of Pyrois, an Ether-Attack unit.

Both Velina and Norma have already been drip-marketed for Version 3.0. Velina is a Wind-Anomaly unit, while Norma is a Fire-Stun character. They are part of the External Strategy Department, the first confirmed faction hailing from Roscaelifer. It will still be some weeks before players can pull for them in Zenless Zone Zero‘s limited banners. In the meantime, fans can currently obtain the S-Rank Agent Cissia before her debut banner ends on May 5.

An exciting chapter is coming for Zenless Zone Zero fans. If the game follows its usual schedule, Season 3 should arrive in mid-June. Zenless Zone Zero is also debuting on Steam, though HoYoverse has not shared an exact date yet. Players can already add the gacha title to their wishlist, and the developer has confirmed that reaching certain wishlist milestones will grant fans free rewards.
