Marvel Rivals Players Can Snag a Free Skin, but There’s a Catch

Marvel Rivals players can currently claim a free skin for Strategist hero Loki that’s inspired by the 2012 Marvel Cinematic Universe movie The Avengers. There’s a slight catch, however, as this free Marvel Rivals Loki skin can only be redeemed by those with an active Disney Plus subscription.

Over the last 17 months, developer NetEase has added an onslaught of skins to its Marvel-themed hero shooter, encompassing every corner of the Marvel universe from its live-action movies to its original comic book source material to even fellow Marvel video games. This year, Marvel Rivals is setting out on an ambitious journey of celebration, with its “Path of Doomsday” event set to run until Avengers: Doomsday‘s theatrical launch in December. Every two months in the lead up to the MCU’s next Avengers flick, Marvel Rivals is releasing content inspired by the series’ previous flagship entries. First up to bat is 2012’s The Avengers, which has taken center stage since Marvel Rivals‘ most recent update.

Disney Plus Subscribers Can Claim a Marvel Rivals Loki Skin for Free

As part of the first leg of its Path to Doomsday celebration, Marvel Rivals has just released two new skins inspired by 2012’s The Avengers. The first is a new outfit for Iron Man, which is based on his iconic Mark 7 armor design. The second is a new costume for Loki, which gives the Strategist his sleek, long robe, his horned helmet, and his pointed scepter from the beloved MCU movie.

Marvel Rivals‘ new Avengers-themed Loki skin also has a special “Twilight Aurora” variant, which can only be unlocked by those who are currently subscribed to Disney Plus. This version of the skin trades the green of Loki’s Avengers costume for a stark white and blue design. To redeem this exclusive Marvel Rivals skin for free, Disney+ subscribers need to log into their account and head down to the Disney Plus Perks page, where they’ll have until July 30 to add the skin to their in-game locker. It should be noted that this Disney Plus Perk is only available for US subscribers.

Back in October 2025, Marvel Rivals had its very first team-up with Disney Plus. This original partnership allowed Disney+ subscribers to redeem the Daredevil Twilight Aurora Marvel Rivals skin for free. On top of these gaming-related bonuses, the Disney Plus Perks system has also previously offered exclusive discounts on Disney Resort stays, discounts at specific retailers like Funko and Microsoft, and entry to various sweepstakes.

As well as new Iron Man and Loki skins, the Marvel Rivals Path to Doomsday: Avengers event has added a brand-new limited-time game mode also inspired by the 2012 MCU movie. This new 6v1 PvP game mode sees a band of six heroes teaming up to face off against a very buffed Loki, who’s been given an all-new moveset to amplify the villain’s offensive capabilities. While there are no exact details just yet, the next Marvel Rivals Path to Doomsday event will begin in June and will revolve around 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.
