Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 developer Sandfall Interactive has just announced a partnership with PureArts. While it’s currently unclear exactly what this upcoming Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 collaboration will consist of, PureArts is best known for creating an assortment of collectibles that range from statues to busts to replicas.
The excitement surrounding Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 certainly hasn’t died down just yet, despite the game being over a year old now. Right out of the gate, Clair Obscur was a major hit with critics, with the action-RPG earning an impressive Top Critic Average score of 92 on OpenCritic, and a critic recommendation score of 98%. It seems Clair Obscur has also been a huge commercial success, with the French studio confirming on Clair Obscur‘s one-year anniversary last month that it’s sold over eight million copies so far. But despite being such a resounding success, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 fans are still finding it quite difficult to get their hands on officially-licensed merch.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Teams Up With PureArts
On May 4, PureArts confirmed via its social media accounts that it was partnering with developer Sandfall Interactive and its “groundbreaking RPG” Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. There’s been no official word yet from either Sandfall or PureArts on what this partnership will involve, what products the company will make, how many, or when they’ll be available to purchase.

Founded in 2008 by artist Hugues Martel, PureArts is “one of the leading creators and manufacturers of premium quality collectible figurines for the video game and the movie industries,” according to the company’s About Us page. Over the last nearly two decades, PureArts has delivered an array of high-quality, officially-licensed collectibles, including from renowned franchises like Elden Ring, The Lord of the Rings, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, Borderlands, and Resident Evil.
One of PureArts’ most recently announced product lines is based on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. This wave includes a total of five products, including a smaller Qlectors Edward Kenway figure, a board game version of Nine Men’s Morris, an Edward Kenway 1/4 scale bust, a 1/8 scale Edward Kenway statue, and a 1/1 scale Black Flag Hidden Blade replica. Prices for these pieces range from just $19 to $119, with the cheapest item being the Nine Men’s Morris board game and the most expensive being the 1/8 scale statue.

That all said, PureArts’ Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced line is on the cheaper end of the company’s spectrum. The now sold-out Elden Ring Malenia’s arm life-size replica, for instance, cost $389. Much more detailed, larger 1/6 scale PureArts statues also tend to cost quite a bit more, with the Borderlands Psycho Bandit & ClapTrap statue costing $599. The most consistently pricey items on PureArts’ website are the 1/1 scale art masks, such as the Justice League Darkseid one or the Lord of the Rings Nazgul King one, with the former costing $799 and the latter costing an eye-watering $1,299. There’s currently no way of knowing where PureArts’ Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 collectibles will land on that scale.
