Steam’s Free-to-Keep Promotion Giving Away 2024 Game Until May 30, Completely Free of Charge

Steam’s Free-to-Keep Promotion Giving Away 2024 Game Until May 30, Completely Free of Charge

Steam’s latest free-to-keep promotion is, at the very least, memorable, as players have the option to download, play, and keep an endless running game from 2024 titled “Dino running from a Furry” forever. The Steam game is clearly a little awkward, but that’s likely the point of it.

It’s also worth mentioning that Dino running from a Furry was previously earmarked for Steam’s Free-to-Keep Promotion, so those keeping up with the latest there probably aren’t surprised by its addition. That promotion has expanded in the days since, too, with Warhammer 40K: Gladius – Relics of War, Bunny Hurling, Drift86, IQ Under Construction, and Bunny Guys also likely to be given away as free games on Steam by the end of May.

Subnautica 2 Shatters Major Record And It’s Only Been Out a Few Hours

Despite only beginning its early access window, Subnautica 2 has already broken a notable record previously held by a top-rated game.

Save 100% on Dino running from a Furry on Steam

Steam users can download Dino running from a Furry until May 30 at 10 am PT/1 pm ET, and as long as it is added to their digital libraries ahead of that date/time, it’ll remain there forever. As an endless runner, players take on the role of a cute little dinosaur as they run from presumably someone in a fursuit. As players attempt to flee, they must collect coins, set personal records, avoid obstacles, and more or less accomplish everything you’d expect from an endless runner, if not exactly a dinosaur game. Further features include colorful graphics, customization options for the dino, and other optional customization features.

Two more things worth noting are that this is essentially a one-button game, just in case anyone is expecting anything more advanced, and it does currently sit at 100% positive reviews on Steam. However, based on the content of the reviews, they do not feel real. It’ll be interesting to see how its Steam review rating changes based on any claims through this promotion. Typically speaking, Dino running from a Furry was already a cheap game at $3, but there’s the added benefit of not paying for it—at least the promotional period ends in May.

Dino running from a Furry is not the only Steam promotion currently going on. Terrors to Unveil – Day Off is also currently part of Steam’s Free-to-Keep Promotion, but only until May 19 at 10 am PT/1 pm ET—it is a horror game about a man named Jack Williams whose peaceful cottage weekend is unfortunately twisted into something much darker.

Similarly, Steam’s Free Weekend promotion also has several options for the next few days. These games must be downloaded and played by May 17 or May 18, as they will not be available to keep after their expiration date (unlike the two aforementioned games). These titles include GreedFall: The Dying World, Astral Ascent, Make Way, Misery, and V Rising.

In broad strokes, respectively, that’s a fantasy CRPG, a colorful action roguelike, a racing game with unique multiplayer features, an open-world survival game that emphasizes its title of “misery”, and a vampire survival game. Each one also has a discount extending beyond the Free Weekend promotion, should anyone want to keep the game after that.
